Zigs are my favorite and quickest way to watercolor! I also do a technique where I use the "flesh" color or pale gray to blend the other colors on my project; I don't use water for this technique! The pale color acts as my blender and it's a really cool look!

Beautiful cards, great tips for the Zig markers, I’ve always been too frightened to use them, I know crazy right? I shall get them out and start practicing now though, so thank you for this video xxx💕

Thanks for showing me some ways to color with my Zig markers. I haven't used mine in quite a while, so I needed this reminder.

Thanks for showing me how to use my zigs. I have tried them in the past and haven't been happy with my results. So, I will try again.

Have you tried using them with a coated paper such as Strathmore Bristol? I didn’t like my results with mixed media /watercolor paper & found the Strathmore Bristol easier to work with. You can only use a small amount of water with the Strathmore. Zig also makes a clear blending brush.

My favorite is the pink one you made in the video. Thanks for great tips. I don't have zig, but I'm going to try with other brands of water brush markers I have.

I often forget about my Zigs. I think maybe it’s because I don’t have a lot of them. You’ve always colored beautifully with them. Happy Thanksgiving, lil’sis! ❤️

My go-to coloring are my Zigs! I use them on Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock with a Kuretake aqua brush (no water in the barrel). The small brush on the aqua brush gives me more control with the coloring and with the water control - I dip it into water & blot. I use your technique #2 when I color. I love using my Zigs because I’m not pulling out “several” Copics to color an area. I can get a variety of gradients just using one or two Zig colors. And, I don’t emboss my image. I just wish they had more color choices.

Do you always emboss first? Do you do this to keep the color inside the lines?

My markers have been 'hiding' in the drawer for years. Probably dried out :( Great card!
@chantalle73404 күн бұрын
If they’re dried out you may be able to “refresh” them. Ranger sells a refresher spray for water-based dye markers & ink pads. I saw Tim Holtz mention this product in one of his videos.
