I really love this video, a great perspective. In chapter 91, there's a really small conversation between Mahito and Kenjaku that really speaks to this topic, where they're talking about the body-soul connection as it relates to their cursed techniques. Kenjaku says the body must be the soul, because otherwise his body-hopping technique wouldn't have worked against Gojo, contrary to Mahito's worldview that the soul must come before the body. "Does it have to be the same for everyone? Considering our jujutsu techniques, you and I practically live in different worlds." "So our techniques dictate our worlds, huh? Heh heh..." "?" "I like that, it's poetic." Just as in nature vs nurture, the fundamental idea that your ability as a sorcerer is determined 80% through nature alone means that everyone's worldview, perception of themselves and others, and agency to enact meaningful change in the world is severely limited by the lot you draw in life. Those who are "blessed" or not. Much of Jujutsu Kaisen is about the unfairness and suffering of the world and life itself, but struggling to find meaning, purpose, and happiness while you're alive nevertheless, and its power system totally fits thematically with that.

I really liked the idea of ''binding vows'' in jujutsu power system that how it can be created by common interests , if they fail to keep their words/promise , they will get immediate retribution no matter how powerful or whoever it is

Ik!!! It's honestly amazing. Funny enough it's another thing they share in common with hunter x hunter

I don’t like cursed energy, but I do like how the clear problems with it are a big part of the story. The caste system that is cursed energy is logically an absolutely torturous thing for the characters in it. Many of the characters have similar feelings to cursed energy as myself.

I know! That's also another aspect of it that I love. But this video was purely about about the power system as an aspect of the universe but I wanna make a part 2 to this video to expand on it !

I also enjoy how the show explores how the characters are affected by living under a caste system with Maki, Mai, and Mechamaru as a prime example

Cursed energy is literally classist 😤

The power system of JJK seemed like a part of the world and this again strengthens that. After I watched this video I thought this video disproved my belief that the jjk power system seemed like a part of the world. But after thinking more about the caste system you talked about. I then, thought about it and how it made my belief even stronger. A caste system is basically class ( rank ) that's determined by birth. This is is literally cursed energy, Gojo luckily being born with the six eyes, and on the other hand Mechamaru being born with only one limb and can't handle moonlight. But there's a twist with the equivalent exchange side of it. His ability to spread his robots at the width of Japan and an enormous amount of cursed energy. Thank you for this video it helped me truly realize that jjk system is so good because it just seems like a part of the world. Nice video and im excited for the Toji video!

YES! it's almost like the weirdness of cursed energy is inherent to it functioning correctly.

In regards to Nen and what you said the criteria was for a good power system. It would be impecable if it wasn’t for Nanika not following the rules of the system. But on paper, yeah it is the best
