Another thing that puzzles me is that many of the vlogging moms who are in their 20s look like what elementary and middle schoolers used to look like before Y2K, and vloggers in their 30s frequently look like high schoolers from back then. Since looking and sounding so young usually comes from a non-smoking lifestyle, props to these generations for purging their surroundings of tobacco, but anyone who remembers what K-12 students looked like last millennium would probably judge them for marrying and having children at that young, and I'm surprised more people don't think of that as a deterrent to parent vlogging.

And surprisingly when my brother was born none of the relatives said that about him when he smiled. At the same time I was praised for being such a "good girl and future perfect wife" (I was quiet, I did quite a bit of chores including helping mom to take care of my brother while everything I did was out fear because my father was abusive towards me and being quiet was coping mechanism) and whenever my brother misbehaved everyone said that "boys will be boys" and how mom shouldn't do anything about it because he'll grow out of it. I was always told that when I'm in a relationship I should take care of everything, while my brother was told to expect his future girlfriend/wife to take care of stuff like cooking and cleaning. these moms just view their children as extensions of themselves, lord forbid when these kids turn into teenagers and become individuals that go against their picture perfect aesthetic vision their parents have

this makes me so sad because one of the things that makes me so excited about the idea of having children is getting to meet a whole new person and helping them discover what they love. Mommy's room is going to have dark walls and black tapestries with LED neon lights and creepy sculptures and horror icons but I want them to have their own space and their own clothes. I want them to be little citizens with lives and interests. outside of the fact that beige is already my least favorite aesthetic, I just don't know how she can't find joy in her children having their own interests

Toxic boy moms make me so mad. My younger brother is my bully, if we were in a public school together he'd be constantly getting in trouble. But since we're just at mom my mom tells me "Be patient", "He doesn't know how to regulate his emotions so that's how he gets your attention" "Stop holding it over his head" "Be generous" and my personal *favorite* "You just have to indure" I think this is because for so long (12 yrs) he was the youngest boy out of 8 kids with only an older brother, so my mom felt like she needed to defend him more or smth.

"non toxic" paints arent the same as paints meant for kids toys bc if the paint chips and the kid eats it that could _very bad!_ even if it is non toxic to adults. so them changing the colorful toys might actually physically hurt their kids

(Mother around 6:00 minutes in) That is called a Jocasta complex! Jocasta was a woma in ancient Greece who married her own son. Time for a few versions of this complex! Mother to son-Jocasta complex Step-mother to Step-son-Phaedra complex Son to mother-Oedipus complex Daughter to father-Elecrta complex Father to daughter-(Can't find a word, so I call it reverse Electra, or Lolita bc thats what the book is about) Step-father to daughter-(Can't find a word, so I call it reverse Phaedra)

It is so frustrating seeing how these parents/moms are ruining their children's lives before they can even begin.. it is so sad to know that these children didn't get a fair chance at becoming a functional person
@rodent-jester6 ай бұрын
My mom doesn't do any "content creator" stuff but since my baby brother was born, she can't stand to hear about how her child will marry someone in the future! I asked why she felt so bothered by it and she said something along the lines of "She'll replace me", and dude, I almost gagged when I heard that! Ngl this feels like inc3st and it grosses me out 🤢

Seeing these videos makes me think about how fortunate I am to have a loving and caring mother who would never post her kid (without consent) on the internet. It’s so sad that the children with moms like the ones in this video have to grow up with such an exploitative childhood. I wish that every child could get the same mom that I did, because every kid deserves a good childhood.

Okay, “I love my four kids equally but that last little boy just hits different.” is a contradictory sentence. You can’t love them all, and that last little boy “hits different.” You love them equally, or you don’t.
