We use to collect receipt in a baskin robins container...they use to give the round ice cream containers away, once they were empty. we have a bunch .... one was for house hold purchases...business, entertainment etc :) I love this organizer..making one for my dad, for his birthday. Great masculine gift idea ...very few out there ;) thank you for a great video

You made receipt holder a couple of years ago. I learned it from you. I made them with large envelopes and one for each month and used a cereal box for the cover. I made it for my friend for her business and she is very organized now. Her accountant loves her more since it is easy for her to find all of her tax info. I added a paper clip to each envelope to keep the receipts in each monthly section. I am shocked that you let your receipts sit in a box like that all year! I hope it is only for effect, because I thought you learned a lesson in organization a while ago! Ok, now I will watch the rest of the video! 😳😂😇😜🙏🏽

Would make a great birthday book. List Days of the month instead of ledger, with birthdays/anniversaries, etc. noted, buy your cards ahead and put your cards in the envelopes. (6.5 x 9.5 would allow you to put in bigger cards if needed). They would be ready and waiting in the appropriate months. I have seen variations, but really like this one! Thanks!

Awesome - i'm a tax pro, so tax season isn't so daunting to me, but, i'm a Canadian tax preparer, i'm sure American taxes beat ours out for insanity. Love this folio. You're always full of great ideas. Thanks for the inspirations.

It is Soooooooo nice to know a genius :) I love this. I don't have to do my own taxes for a business, but I still love this book. It would be great to use as a birthday card book so you're always prepared for birthdays...as opposed to remembering them three days late.

Nik, I made your bill holder last year, and continue to use it to this day. I take months off the 3 rings and file them away when it gets bulky. I should send you a picture. I’ve had to add months, but it keeps all my paid bills for the month together. This is another great idea. Thanks for sharing.

Genius Nik!! I actually thought the box was very since a lot of times people bring them in grocery store bags!!😅😅😂😹🤣 I was the personal assistant to several attorneys in a law firm so I've sorted these messes twice as large for a few weeks!! Nightmare!! Your plan is much better than what the accountant had me do. I shared this video with the new personal assistants who works with the attorneys. 💙💚💛💜

Great idea! You crack me up! That is how my husband used to handle receipts. His bookkeeper came to our door a couple months after we were married with this huge box and said to him, "You are married, she can do it and I don't want to anymore" and handed us the box of jumbled receipts. Then I got to learn how!
@Gothlite-i1l4 жыл бұрын
I was married to a tax preparer for over 20 years and you're stash of receipts is tidy by comparison to some I saw. At least you KEPT the receipts - trying to figure what a person spent over the year from their memory is always an adventure into fantasy. The preparer gets pilloried for low-balling the estimate and gets the blame when IRS comes calling.

Except for the tags (months) at the top, my mom had ( I now have) a "Household Bill Organizer" very much like this. The cover is well-worn leather. There are still receipts inside dating back to mom's senior year in high school, which was 1954. Your videos are a pleasure to watch and your instructions are easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your creative flow with all of us! ~TA~

Sewing the edges adds that special touch. (edit) Oh wow... you've got a stamp from Germany, old, old, old one. I wonder if a collector would get a stroke watching this. 😅
@katpaints4 жыл бұрын
I have a lot of those stamps. It has taken me a while to actually search out the value of some of mine. I know that some of my unused stamps are worth a few dollars each, but most, especially used stamps that were the normal stamps of the day, have little value. Oh, the hours that I spect soaking and finding a spot for stamps growing up, though!!! It was so much fun! I have actually used some of my collection. It took a while to decide to do it.
