@@Trigger_the_Spirit_manAbuja is not just wide roads though. It is underground sewage and hidden electrical wires. Not open guttering and unsightly overhead wires. Abuja is good roads and pavements both on the main road and the roads leading off it. Abuja is deliberate greenery throughout the city with parks that people can enjoy for free like Millennium Park. Abuja is naturally stunning due to the hills that surround the whole city. Accra has some amazing buildings yes, but overall not much more than that.

Those areas are referred to as the ‘zongo’ areas more like an urban slum area and the less sophisticated parts of Accra. But it’s not too bad tho 😂 I live in Nima by the way. And seen to inhabit more Muslims though I think it’s 50/50 as there are a lot of non-Muslims as well. Just that, you’d find almost everyone speaking Hausa especially in Nima and Madina Zongo

You're 100% right, bc Ghanaians have produced very many and respected authors, they'd severally won the Nobel literary prize like Wole Soyinka, they had produced an author who's the Africa's most widely sold and translated literature of all time like Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart, They had also produced another literary African queen like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who has won the most literary awards in Africa 😂😂😂

I agree, but the things they have done well should be noted too. I stayed in the "good areas" , but because I like to walk daily, I got to see where they have dropped the ball. In the lack of sidewalks, open gutters and roads off the main road just abandoned as dirt roads. I first visited Accra well over 15 years ago, they should have done it by now imho. Even whem I asked people who lived there they said residents want to do the road but the government won't allow them. I also booked a place just behind Oxford Street, I was appalled on my walks. Even Spintex Road and Trascaco, East Lagone (although a bit better) , Labone too. Don't get me me wrong the buildings are excellent and should be applauded but the other stuff that should be there, simply are not.
