I've literally seen professional writers cut the acolyte to pieces because of how bad it is. They don't know how to use exposition at all. I wouldn't be surprised if these people didn't know what subtext was. The acting for squid game and discount Ezra Miller was pretty good but the dialogue was such a mess it didn't mean anything.

@@pictureperfect3211 It's not me saying this it's the rules of filmmaking. I'm just observing these errors. They overly rely on exposition. Exposition is fine if used correctly I've seen entire movies that were just exposition. Exposition if you don't know is basically transmitting information through dialogue. Exposition is bad when it's obvious that it's exposition. This show is full of bad exposition. I saw a great breakdown of episode 4 by a writer that broke down many episodes line by line. The thing is that's not even the only issue. It doesn't even understand the lore. A Sith would not just come out and say he's a Sith. It was barely tolerable that he was a random dark side user but a literal Sith? The whole point of the rule of two was to never be discovered and this joker just comes out and says he's a Sith. WHAT!? You're supposed to be operating in secret! Using a random witch to do your bidding is actually very Sith because you don't have to get your hands dirty yourself reveal yourself. It was a big deal in the Phantom menace that they were going to finally reveal themselves after like a thousand years because they were approaching the end game of Palpatine's plans. This literally contradicts the lore in those movies "Impossible, the sith haven't been seen for millennia!" What a mess. If you like this show it's because you don't look at anything you watch critically. Objectivity matters. This is not about subjective taste. This is poorly constructed television.

Wouldn’t say he was a sith, he didn’t claim to be one was just suggesting that’s what Jedi would call him for using the dark side and a red saber, The rule of 2 is strictly enforced and requires a sith master to give you the title of “Darth” to join the sith, at this point in time the 2 Sith would chronologically be Darth Tenebrous/Darth Plaguies

Qimir is probably serving one of them and we'll get a tiny snippet of either (probably Tenebrous). I feel like Qimir has to die in this for it to make any sense, and for the Jedi to write it off as a random cultist without a connection to a larger Master/Order.

Been a fan of Manny Jacinto since The Good Place (easily one of the best comedic performances of the last decade). Hope this villainous performance opens even more doors for him. He’s appearing in Freaky Friday 2 next year so looking forward to that even more than before. Such a talented actor with great range! All I could think about during this episode is how he would make an excellent Ghostface in a future Scream movie.

My running theory is that Qimir is one of the black cloaked figures during the Witches ceremony that dissapeared when the Jedi showed (they were standing next to the mother the whole time). I think Qimir (and possibly his master) helped the witches create the twins to be their Acolytes. When the Jedi showed up everything went south, Qimir told Mae to stop her sister from leaving at any cost, a fight broke out, and Qimir felt wronged because the Jedi "stole" Osha so he swore revenge. Great episode!

This escalated quickly from 0 to 100 in one episode holy shit, totally worth the cliffhanger from last ep lol. The villain is ruthless and the twist caught me off guard 😭, now i want to see what his backstory with sol is. Also i wonder if Mae exchanging places with Osha means Osha is gonna learn the truth from the villain and maybe even turning against the Jedi 👀, this is getting good. Btw i love how some people are changing their minds about the show and this reaction even got more views than the last ones, hope the next episodes are as fire as this one

Concidering the fact that Qimir was able to hide his force presence as The master. My prediction is that when Sol said he sences something familiar with the master.... He is talking about possibly the time on Brendok we have seen in flashbacks, and we could learn that Qimir was directly behind the events on Brendok

Making this a movie would have required cutting too much. They should have released it as a 2 week "Miniseries Event". That's what we used to call it. The first 4 episodes with a 130+ minute runtime ending in that cliffhanger would have been tight. The first half hour of the second feature length cut has started out strong.

But to be honest, at least so far, they could've cut A LOT. We didn't need most of Episode 3 or 4. Obviously some of the script would've been reworked for a movie, but I think this story could've been told in under 2 and a half hours. It would also get a larger budget which would be nice.

I think this is a series that cannot be critiqued appropriately until it is completed. There are just too many unanswered questions in this type of mystery. Sadly, the Star Wars fandom is so full of toxic people that you will find plenty of individuals ready to say that anything that comes out is awful without waiting to see the full story unfold. I have been enjoying it so far. It hasn’t been my favorite Star Wars. But I’m definitely wanting to give the story an opportunity to finish before I form an opinion. There have been plenty of things too enjoy about it and some things that have felt a little off. I’m glad that you were open to enjoying it and had a positive reaction to the episode in general.

I believe that Mae was really going to turn herself in. But that all changed the moment that she realized her master was present. Qimir did tell her last episode that her master will kill her. It remains to be seen that she decided to take Osha's place to escape her master (and certain death) or infiltrate the Jedi to get back to his good graces. Perhaps a bit of both or maybe other reasons. I am thinking that the creation of Osha and Mae might be the beginings of the Sith force manipulations and will lead to Darth Plagueis' experiments that result in the creation of Anakin.

The fight was more than I expected, but I didn't expect much. It was subpar but at least it wasn't sequel trilogy bad of just swinging bats around. But this episode is a 1/10 for me because they are breaking so much lore by saying this guy is a Sith. So much for Ki Adi Mundi's line of 'the Sith have been extinct for a millennium'. Also, the reveal that it was this guy, not surprising and I'm sorry but they're trying to pull off Star Wars Parent Trap. Yeah this is just bad.

Best episode so far but still very bad. Every single dialogue is bad, but that s the good point of the episode, there isn t so much. 90% of the episode is fighting, which is annoying at the end. Some of it was good fighting, but some were really bad. The part with the 2 firsts Jedi who died was really weird, it didn't look great, it looked like it was sped up or something. There are huge pbs with the positionning of the characters, the korean jedi appears from nowhere, he shoukd have been with the rest of the jedi but for some reason he was hundreds of meters away, and at the exact point where he is needed to save the girl, beautiful writibg here... the revelation of the sith was bad. However, the korean jedi does say something clever : why risking discovery ?? The Siths have been working since Darth Bane to take control of the Banks, the Separatists and destroy the Jedi, and now there is a dumbass Sith who risks it all ? No way. The episode looks really cheap, when he cyt down the 3 trees, it looked like it was in a LEGO game. Also when they fight with lightsaver it s ok, but for some reason, they have to hit with the base of their lightsaber every 10 seconds, it is so stupid. They said it would be better than Duel of Fates, it s not. They said we would see an epic girl to girl fight, I did not see it. Also when the sith threw his lighsaber on 100 meters, that was pretty stupid aswell
