This is your friendly reminder that Ki-Adi-Mundi didn't know 💩 in TPM. He was literally working for a Sith Lord in Palpatine. The point of his statement in that movie is that the Jedi were wrong.

Haha thanks, back in the star wars roleplaying server days for Star Wars Galaxies / The Old Republic I had a similar concept for a Sith character which had a Cortosis bracer / gauntlet. Was funny and awesome to see it actually becoming a thing in canon live action 😂

All the big KZbin channels that didn't have a clue (cough: Star Wars Theory) should have to share a portion of their income with the fan channels who actually know the High Republic lore.

@hoos3014 to be fair the High Republic stuff hasn't had too much accessibility yet, I think this show was the big one. Apart from this and Jedi survivor a lot of it is comics and novels which a lot of fans won't explore. To be fair my high republic knowledge is pretty slim and I'm a pretty big star wars fan, though a lot of my knowledge is around the old republic or clone wars era

mae WAS gonna give herself up right up until the Master who was training her murk'd all the Jedi who came to find her. Once she realized that she saw the Osha was "brain washed" by the Jedi, her new goal became: expose Sol's lies in order to get her sister back.

Mae was going to surrender....but then The Stranger shows up and now she's just running for her life. Jecki can kick ass because its Daphne Keene under the makeup...you may know her as X23 from the movie "Logan." The close ups of The Stranger in his mask when he's saying, "Coward!" looks odd because its not literal. Mae is just seeing that in her mind because he is invading her thoughts to scare her. The Stranger constantly disappears like Batman. Later episodes show (although its never stated clearly) that he has the ability to essentially teleport, a skill probably learned from the witches on Brendock (that is probably not the correct spelling, sorry.) The witches ability to do this is shown in later episodes. The "fortress" where the witches lived was actually an abandoned cortosis mine which was owned by the public persona of Darth Tenebrous, the reigning Sith lord at this time. Tenebrous had two apprentices in violation of the Rule of Two. His first apprentice was the "true" apprentice and had a Sith lordship. This was Darth Plagueis, later master of Darth Sidious. The second apprentice was the "false" apprentice Venamis who could not receive the "Darth" title, since he technically could not be a SIth due to the Rule of Two. Qimir is Venamis. Qimir already said why he's focused on Mae in the episode, multiple times in fact and he even said it in the last episode. Mae betrayed him and violated their deal, now she has to die. A man's reputation is all that he truly has, and Qimir isn't going to let someone get away with turning on him. She has to die. Period. The story of Venamis (Qimir) is that he realizes he's the "spare" apprentice and is highly expendable. He decides to overthrow Tenebrous and the "true" apprentice, Plagueis. His first step in his plan is to acquire his own apprentice in order to even the playing field a bit in the eventual showdown against Tenebrous. Something else to know is that Osha is clearly positioned as the "good guy," while Mae is set up as the "bad guy." This is bullshit though and a red herring the show is tossing out to confuse you. If you pay attention to their behavior, you'll see that Mae is actually self-less and cares only about getting justice for her family. She literally has no other evil agenda. Osha, on the other hand, is shockingly selfish and seems to be operating on the principle that her own personal desires and happiness trump literally every other thing in the galaxy. She seems like she would make a good Sith one day, although Mae probably shouldn't even apply. Qimir responds to the personalities of the twins, not their identical looks. Thus, he can always tell who is who, and is far more interested in Osha than Mae. Qimir likely sees Mae as a useful but somewhat blunt tool, while Osha probably seems to be a good potential companion and congruent partner in crime. Manny Jacinto (Qimir) is from the Phillipines, which are in Asia. So yes, he's Asian. Finally, its not "Darth Teeth," its actually "Smilo Ren." Please use the correct form of address.

@@TheNerdyverse They're using the story of Venamis' failed attempt at overthrowing Tenebrous in Legends as the inspiration for the series. Its just like how they used the Legends story about Jasen and Jaina Solo as the inspiration for the sequels. They turned Jasen into Ben, and his twin Jaina into Rey, a completely unrelated character. In order to substitute for the natural connection of twins, Disney invented the concept of the "Force dyad" to explain things. Thrawn's appearance into live action canon came the same way, by sourcing material from the Legends books in which he appears. Anyway, the point is that Disney scavenges decent story lines from Legends material, makes some changes to the story and characters (that way they can avoid needing to pay the original Legends authors,) and then drops a new show or something onto Disney+. "The Acolyte" is clearly based on the de-canonized "Darth Plagueis" novel and from other Wookiepedia level story bits that exist in Legends. As an interesting side note, the "Darth Plagueis" book wasn't de-canonized until they started to work on "The Acolyte." This was likely done at the time to draw attention away from the source material, prevent conflicts with that material in the newly updated story and, as I said before, to avoid paying the original authors. Really, the story of this show is the to tell the audience about the failed attempt at overthrowing the reigning Sith lord of this time period, and to provide some background about why Plagueis was so obsessed with using the Force to manipulate life. Remember that Palpatine tricks Anakin by introducing the idea that Padme's life could be saved through the use of the Dark side. He uses the "Tragedy of Darth Plagueis" to illustrate what might be done to save Padme, and to dangle that information before Anakin's eyes. But have you ever asked yourself why Plagueis was interested in this topic in the first place? Doesn't it seem a little weird for a Sith to care about preventing death? Well, this show will almost certainly explain that it was actually Tenebrous who was interested because he was getting old. He learned some of the basics from the witches, then engaged in decades of experimentation alonside his apprentice, Plagueis. Eventually Plagueis kills him, taking Sidious as his apprentice. When their experiments seem to fail (no living thing is created or manifested in the labs with them) Sidious becomes impatient, then murders Plagueis in his sleep. Sidious then introduces the concept to his own apprentice, Vader. So, the "preventing those they love from dying" hype trains starts with Tenebrous, and goes like this: Force Witches > Tenebrous > Plagueis > Sidious > (Anakin is created as a virgin birth on a planet distant from Plagueis and Sidious) > Vader > (Palpatine meets random kid who was clearly created by the Force and whose age corresponds to the last experiment they tried before Plagueis was murdered. If you want to read about Venamis, then simply go to your search engine and type "Darth Venamis." Whatever you find there will likely lead you down the rabbit hole. Keep in mind there will be many differences between the Legends story and the live action Disney version. Nonetheless, the story is plainly visible through the Disney window dressing. WARNING: Perusing even basic information about Venamis will reveal his fate. Since that won't happen until much later in the series (I have no idea how many seasons they're planning.) Think that one over for a sec before spoiling yourself with important plot points destined to be revealed closer to the series finale.

My theory is Qimir is the apprentice of Darth Tenabrous, and he’ll die at the end, meaning Tenabrous needs a new apprentice. That new apprentice being Darth Plagueis (I’m likely wrong)

I'm starting to think this might be Game of Thrones meets Star Wars. Many padawans and several masters will find their end in this series. Cheng: It can't be a male child on the same planet as the witches. Mae and Osha both said they were the only kids on the planet. But your other two scenarios would logical. I suspect it will be something that is none of those answers.

Thats a good point, though I still kinda doubt Mae and Oshas knowledge on things, they seemed to be very young and sheltered and there seems to be inconsistencies in both their memories on what happened on that planet, so I'm not writing it off completely yet 😅. There's also the odd emphasis on his knowledge on their planet and the poison. Your probably right though, watch there be no connection whatsoever 😂

@@TheNerdyverse Well, look back at the coven of witches. There were no males. So, if there were other kids at one point, they'd have been female. In the abstract, I could definitely understand your point. But Qimir is definitely older than Mae and Osha so he wouldn't have been a kid on their planet at the same time they were.

Since most of the cast is dead hopefully the dialogue will pick up for the rest of the series lol 😂😂😂 but some nerds be mad at the filler/ flashbacks when they enjoy them in animation but not in starwars live action gtfo 😂😂😂 Ohhh & for the lore junkies maybe look at the books like comics Even the mcu doesn’t do a copypasta from its “lore” comic books 😂😂😂 maybe learn to separate lore from live action smh neckbeards be mad mad about nothing for likes 😂😂😂

I don't think you can really say the flashbacks are filler when one of the big plot points of the series is what went down that night with the jedi, and the inconsistency in everyone's story of that night. I think the MCU and star wars are very different in terms of platforms and can't really be compared. The MCU is it's own specific universe and canon within Marvel, from the top of my head the only MCU canon media is the TV series, movies and specials, I don't think they have any comics or novels. While Star Wars as a whole is split between Legends and current canon, which includes films, TV series, games, novels and comics. Which are all taking part in the same universe and are canon
