Started off strong in ep 1, then hit another gear of greatness in ep 2. Sol is already one of my favorite Jedi ever, and I really, REALLY like that they are showing Yord to be more like a prequel era Jedi. Like he’s kind of a forerunner of that here: a bit vain, arrogant, maybe corruptible or maybe not, maybe just dogmatic and stiff. Quick to draw his lightsaber and prepare for violence, etc. So far, I LOVE this.

I really, REALLY like Yord’s portrayal, by the way, not down on the character. I think it’s well written, well acted, and quite compelling.

Yord may not be flexible in his thinking, but perhaps he may be flexible in... other ways. 😏 This show is off to a great start! And I'm really enjoying the choreography, using acrobatics and Force pushes. It doesn't always have to be about the lightsaber fights. I'm enjoying the dialogue, and the plot doesn't feel like it's being pushed. The story feels organically revealing itself in a comfortable pace, for us viewers to get familiar with this High Republic world bit by bit, and I like that. Great review and analysis, Si! The question that needs to be asked is, why does Mae have a cute nickname for her sister, but that same sister said nothing when she sees her for the first time, but instead, fires at her with a stun gun. I have a feeling that Osha is not the good guy, here. She might not be the bad guy, but I think she's jealous of her sister's Force wielding ability. Looking forward to the rest of the show.
