I've been scripting pdf's for more than a decade, but I've only been using the debugger for a few years. There are buttons to the top left of the console such as the arrow and a circle that's either red or green. I don't know what that is nor is there an accessibility feature that says the name of the tool on hover. I'm currently working on a document that's hanging up on something with a document level function, and I'm trying to figure out what's going on with it. When I click the button that calls the function, Acrobat Pro/Reader crashes... Where could I find more tutorials or documentation about everything in the debugger? Is it possible to "run" the function in the console only without actually running it on the page and crashing? It's complex with for loops, spawn, if statements, and regex.

Sir I want to begin learning as well how to script in Javascript to generate bookmarks in my PDFs. I just want to give it the list of Bookmarks and pages and have it automatically inserted. having additional hierarchy of bookmarks would be nice but it is not a must for what I want to do. I would really appreciate if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks!!

The video was made useful and illustrative. May I have a question , not much relevant to the topic. How did you make the video, which have illustrations, shadows, animated arrows and so on. ?

you can add all the features to the screencast using any video editor - Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.

What JavaScript engine is this powered by, is it only en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ExtendScript and limited to ES3?
