A viewer pointed out that Blastoise can learn Bite at level 19, and you can train Wartortle to that level on Nugget Bridge before battling Misty, so Blastoise is actually completely reliable for taking down Misty, and my argument that Venusaur is more valuable that Blastoise no longer holds any water. There's a case to be made that this is the strongest team in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen. Hi DFeugo, I'm a big fan of your channel and everything you do. I've been creating optimized teams for a few years now, and it's become a really relaxing hobby. I started after my first playthrough of SoulSilver, where I was frustrated by the big level gap that appears after the eighth gym between your Pokémon and Champion Lance’s. It was also disappointing that there’s barely a way to train effectively in SoulSilver, since it doesn’t have a VS Seeker. Since then, I’ve taken on the mission of creating a team that provides the smoothest, most comfortable gameplay from start to finish. Here’s what that means: 1. Minimizing the need to train against wild Pokémon, so I can complete the game at the lowest levels possible. 2. Making sure my team includes all necessary HMs to complete the game (in Gen 4 games, this means having an HM Pokémon on the team). 3. I always play on SET mode, level caps and no items in battle, so I aim for a team that’s balanced both offensively and defensively. 4. The team should progress naturally with the flow of the game. That means no trade evolutions, no breeding, and only Pokémon with good level-up movesets or access to useful TMs. I also avoid Pokémon that are only available very late in the game and can only be used for the final stages. I’d love to know what you think of the teams I’ve created. It would be really cool if you tried my SoulSilver team! The only bottleneck is Whitney’s third gym, but after that, you can assemble most of the team fairly quickly, making the rest of the game a breeze. Thank you for all the awesome videos so far! Best regards, Allard Soulsilver best team 5 Typhlosion - flamethrower, dig, shadow claw and focus blast Crobat - fly, u-turn, bite and arial ace Ampharos - discharge, signal beam, lightscreen and chargebeam Gyarados - waterfall, return, dragon dance, ice fang (Red gyarados, Lake of Rage) Girafarig - psychic, shadowball, baton pass en agility + (choice specs, Lake of Rage) Furret - HM mon Pokemon Pearl Torterra best team 5 Torterra - leechseed, earthquake, grassmove, crunch Starraptor - fly, bravebird/roost, return, close combat. You're killing it bro. I just want you to know that your videos are reaching those who have been touched by the 'tism in the same way you have. I don't sub to channels often, but when I do, ig I hyper-fixate on playing through every single Pokémon game using the ACTUAL best team. I hope you go on to win the next OJ case after law school or whatever it is that law grads wanna do

the best team for blastoise is probably going with just blastoise and overlevelling to the point where nothing is a challenge anymore

I do my speed runs with blastoise, sandslash, and jolteon. Picking up moltres at the end for extra coverage for the elite 4. Once wartortle learns bite it's gg for Misty's staryu and starmie anyways.

I'm attempting a hardcore nuzlocke of firered without beating the bidoof, Trainer/gym battle exp only, no items in battle, and level caps. Not sure if it is possible, but we will see.

@@derekday3896 let me know how that goes! I feel like the elite 4 is going to be tough because of the level gaps being more pronounced
@derekday3896Күн бұрын
@@DFuegoH it was tough but I did it. Venus 47, magneton 51, Golduck 49, hypno 50, Arcanine 50, Machamp 51 were the hall of famers and their levels, no wild pokemon exp or items in battle. Hypno, Golduck, and Machamp were all late game editions put on simply because you can catch them in the wild at high levels. I will say everyone died except for Arcanine at the champion battle, so definitely not clean.

How many pokemon creators don't know to use bite against starmie and she is easy. Sigh
@DFuegoHАй бұрын
@@GaryStanford-t3m that method requires grinding, which eliminates any team using that method from being the strongest
@GaryStanford-t3mАй бұрын
@DFuegoH no it doesn't. Level 19, you have to do nugget bridge anyway.
@DFuegoHАй бұрын
@GaryStanford-t3m I just tested your approach, and you're right. I didn’t think to use nugget bridge to train the team for Misty. That negates my reasoning for Venusaur being more valuable than Blastoise. I'll have to reevaluate which team is stronger between this one and the Venusaur team. Thanks for sharing!
