Peter Obi and Tinubu caused division in Afenifere. Before 2023, d leadership of Afenifere has been transferred to Pa Adebanjo by Pa Fasorunti as a result of old age. He really stepped down for Pa Adebanjo. Unfortunately, Pa Adebanjo was supporting Peter Obi instead of Tinubu bcoz he believed for fairness and equity. Therefore, power should go to South East. When Pa Adebanjo could not persuaded to support Tinubu, some members went to Pa Fasorunti in Akure to take his leadership back from Pa Adebanjo so as to support Tinubu. Kola Omololu was of d people who wanted to support Tinubu.
