Oh yeah absolutely. It's one of the reasons I've been hanging around Merseyrail so much lately! The 507s and 508s are really nostalgic to me but honestly the 777s will be a huge improvement.

Freshfield to Formby is pretty rapid. Glad you were timing on a watch, if you go by the timetable you'd be always adding a minute on as why do so many Merseyrail trains, on the Northern Line anyway, run minute late?

You film so close to me and I'm going to guess my most local, Orrell Park is the shortest . So, I'll update this to see if I'm right or not. Only a second shorter, but from my data, its still the fastest. :)

I’m pretty sure my fella watches your videos 😂 but tbh I’ve found on Merseyrail it also depends what driver you have, some like to tip toe around and others like to shove it straight to notch 4. Have you ever timed it between maghull and maghull north? 🤔
