I live in Japan. It’s insane how they act and I’m surprised no one is talking about it. The first thing is that all of these people are like 55 years old, these aren’t 1975 fans. They’re saying they want refunds for tickets but these people have not listened to a single foreign band other than the carpenters (some shitty old people band). The second is that they were all told to come here by a bunch of obscure Japanese nationalist KZbin channels who coordinate this stuff. None of those people speak English. They have literally zero idea what anyone said or what they’re even complaining about which is why they don’t specifically say what they’re mad about. The third thing is that Matty was making a joke about Japan and the Germans committing war crimes which Japan famously refuses to acknowledge, so even if they knew what they were mad about (which again, they don’t) they would never admit it because that would require acknowledging that they committed war crimes.
