First look at the T8 German cruiser, reward for the ongoing February/March 2024 campaign. I don't think this is an especially strong ship, but it is fun. Maybe that's more important.

Try Augustin Rieger Kuznetsova and Mimbeli...skip the secondary mod...go for grouping....I get great range...same sec range..with extra ap pen...kind of hybridy..works well with porcupine...

@thosedangfreakalopes2589 use porcupine...just don't use the secondary mod...pick almost anything else...not AA either ship has good AA..kunetz and Mimbeli will really help range and reload..

Not much use in enhancing secondaries when WG has nerfed the XP numbers from secondary damage. Still, Schroeder is ok for the occasional t8 game.

Congress, agir can when running an ap focused build, Yoshino and Azuma.

Petro. Kronstadt. Those would be the two at T8 that can. Azuma and Yoshino at other tiers too. Basically these guns feel much more anemic to me than any of those. Especially with the AP.

I'm not a fan of the campaigns at this point. Tier VIII campaigns keep just getting BB's, super cruisers, and Torp boats. When are we finally going to get a good spammy light cruiser? When it's time to do weekly premiums, I enjoy every tier except tier VIII. It's boring, all big slow boats with big guns, or Torp boats. Even Tulsa has 203's, making it a heavy cruiser. Like let me guess, next campaign we get another BB, super cruiser or Torp boat. At least in WoT I could turn a TT into a premium. Instead I'm stuck with the same trash over and over. Variety would be lovely.

Hi Muse! What ya said had to be the most unfair and ridiculous assessment of Tier 8 ships that I have ever.....just kidding, just kidding, as usual, you presented your position with the same holistic approach that's made you a legend in my humble opinion. Though I'm a sucker for big ships, I suspect that it's a Star Wars thing with me. My major complaint about Tier 8 is that it's not a money maker like Tier 7 which to me seems illogical given how expensive each Tier 8 vessel is...at an average of roughly 30 million silver if one includes the common upgrades. One should get a better return on it, methinks. So how've ya been?

While we don’t get many T8 light cruiser campaigns, consider it is likely due in part to the fact there simply aren’t many of them to port from PC. Right now, there’s like… Dalian, Hector and Vallejo (which was in open test a few months back), and not much more.

I think Admiral Schröder ist cool so far. Got her today and my first expression is that she is not slow and chunky? She’s pretty fast and good to turn. But I would agree that Tier 8 is kinda not so worth it. It’s not a money maker and I think the last 5,6,7 I don’t even know anymore campaigns were all Tier 8 ships. I wouldn’t mind a maybe Tier 6 or even 5 campaign ship if it’s good and cool. Like you said. Maybe some light cruiser yeah or maybe just a normal cruiser not always these heavy battlecruisers (although I personally like bigger and heavier ships) I wouldn’t mind fighting against some new NOT Tier 8 and not heavy cruiser ships.
