I love Latin too. I was a brilliant student. Medicine is much easier understand when you understand what the words are saying!! edit: for some reason the mnemonic for G/F/R layers comes to mind when I think of eGFR blood measure (not intimately linked)

When we say “stress hormone”, we mean a hormone that is going to be secreted in times of stress to help us cope with stress (so, in a sense, it’s also anti-stress).

If you decrease Serotonin & Epinephrine , you would increase Dopamine,the center of sensuality. Exercise increases inflammation therefore more stimulation to hypothalamus-pitutary-adrenal gland- mineralocorticosteroids and glucocorticosteroid and adrenal medulla . But, fasting means less inflammation and more stimulation to thyroid axe at night and GTRH at sleep. I want my great Doctor medicosis perfectionalist introduce His own scientific essay on this regard.
