The producers successfully identifies the typical viewer and addresses their emotional state successfully by using empathetic persuasion. Late night television is especially unfocused, and Adult Swim masters this arena by providing especially engaging content, making such bumpers especially effective.

As a Boston resident, I'm gonna chime in on the 2007 bomb scare situation because this video is honestly the best video I've seen about it. only the cops and boomers took it seriously, like everyone under the age of 50 knew it wasn't serious. I was in middle school at the time and if you knew what Aqua Teen Hunger Force was, you were laughing your ass off to the local news channel that day. The lost episode is is also fucking hilarious, 10/10.

I really wish, out of all the shows, they'd bring back Moral Orel. Maybe it was a bit too much at the time, but in current year, on current [AS]? It would be perfect! And there's so, so much good music to discover in Season 3 specifically, along with it being the most important season (although you'll get less from it if you only watch Season 3 without 1 or 2).

Growing up in the 90s and 2000s, I’ve loved Space Ghost Coast to Coast since I was a kid and it’s still my favorite show to this day. That show was a pioneer for adult animation in the 90s as it helped launch what became Adult Swim before Adult Swim existed and to this day still has a cult following.

Random story, but the night adult swim first premiered I didn’t think my mom would let me watch it. When I told her about it she said she didn’t care. I watched almost every new show that premiered that night, and the next day a bunch of the other kids in my class talked about it I remember being so glad I didn’t miss out on it after that. I grew up in the 90s so adult cartoons weren’t new, but seeing an entire block of them for the first time was something else, especially on Cartoon Network

Wish you would of brought up the Danger Doom album, a hip-hop tribute of sorts to adult swim featuring Space Ghost and AQHF characters voiced by the actual actors on the show, as well as references to other shows. Also, on the song where he argues with Space Ghost about how he deserves a show more than him, when he is talking to Brak he actually asks Brak if he "has enough oxygen for this toxic flem". I'm only now making the connection this line is in reference to 1:01:50

One of my biggest regrets when it comes to Adult Swim is not saving my DVR recording of the "Aqua teen Movie premier" when Adult Swim showed it in the corner. Mostly because there was a hilarious moment that synced up perfectly and nobody else seems to remember it. During the "Drunken Irish Dad" song from Family Guy that aired that night, a human male character (I believe he was black) popped up on screen and began dancing in time with the song. If I remember correctly, it was during the line "We Irish lads are all infirm and our moods infect us like a germ!" It was so damn funny and to this day I have no idea if it was intentional or it just worked out that way. If anyone has footage of this, I'd love to see it again. If for nothing more than to prove to myself I didn't dream this.

I’ve heard people say that Boston’s response to the Mooninite signs was purely for political spectacle. Elections were coming up and at the time it was popular to appear as tough on terrorism cause it was Bush era xenophobia peak season. I reallly enjoyed this iceberg! Interesting [as] content I'd never heard of before. Learning more about this block (or channel, here in Canada) is always fun. Though I kind of wish this iceberg briefly mentioned that weird and stylized Super Milk Chan show and the weird licensing stuff behind it. There were two dubs made for the show-a straight translated dub that kept all the Japanese pop culture references intact, and an American dub that replaced the Japanese jokes with American ones referencing celebrities from the 2000s. Adult Swim, for whatever reason, aired the direct translated dub. It was a short-lived show on adult swim but I really do love it nowadays. Great video.
