When I was a kid, I used to have a VHS of "Scooby-Doo meets Batman and Robin". That was my first exposure to the Olan Soule and Casey Kasem incarnations. It wasn't until I saw and rented a VHS of this animated series, I was amazed to hear those voices coming from this incarnation having heard them in "The New Scooby Movies". Its an interesting installment to the evolution of Batman in media. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on "The New Adventures of Batman" which actually featured Adam West and Burt Ward. Also on a side note, that "Bat-Gyro" didn't appear in the live-action series. You must be confusing it for the go-cart that would disengage from the "Bat-Cycle" from the 1966 movie.

With all due respect, your chronology is a little off. The New Adventures of Superman premiered in September 1966, not 1967. In 1967, Aquaman was added along with other DC characters like The Flash, Green Lantern, The Atom and The Justice League and the show became the Superman-Aquaman Hour of Adventure. By 1968, the show's third season, Filmation had finally gotten the rights to the Caped Crusader and the show became The Batman-Superman Hour. In 1969, the Saturday morning superhero shows were pretty much purged due to complaints from parent groups about violence. Batman and Robin became its own half-hour show, which aired on CBS on Sunday mornings. Aquaman also became its own half-hour show which aired in syndication. The late great Ted Knight from the MARY TYLER MOORE ("Ted Baxter") did contribute some of the the villains' voices. THANKS for being fair showing good and bad points

Superman premiered on CBS in the fall of 1966. The following year, Filmation made The Superman-Aquaman Hour of Adventure. The Superman and Aquaman segments were mixed up during the show, along with Superboy, and a revolving set of characters that had one segment in each show (The Flash, Wonder Woman, The Atom, Green Lantern, etc.). Then the following fall, after ABC cancelled the live-action Batman, Filmation made The Batman-Superman Hour. Again, the segments were mixed up between Batman, Superman, and Superboy.

Wonder Woman was not in the Aquaman segment. Wonder Girl was in that show as a member of the original Teen Titans.

@@dalethelander3781 You may be right , sometimes Wonder Girl was W.W. in another form and other times she was Diana's sister. The original Teen Titans segments didn't explain which W.G.it was. W.W. did appear in a Brady Kids episode.

I rented both Batman and Superman cartoons and pretty much enjoyed them both. I remember seeing The New Adventures of Superman in reruns on WGN TV where i live. It's an independent channel.

Not only does the Mad Hatter look different from the comics, but they even give him the possible real name of Chapeau Fedora when he was already known as Jervis Tetch. It's also worth noting that in the first Scarecrow comic he does use fear, trying to intimidate people, and in his third he already had the fear toxin, so I don't think the people who wrote for this show, or the people in charge of character designs really read the comics that much.

I find it neat that this show actually had its own depiction of scarecrow i obviously enjoy the fear theme for him but they probably thought a fear theme was too much so i enjoy that they did something different and made him farm themed (although if that was ever a comic I would hate it)

I had this show on dvd when i was I think 8 and loved it never got riddlers speech pattern though looking back it is a pretty good cartoon iteration of the silver age of batman comics just like super friends

Tim burton must’ve watched this before making the ‘89 movie. The joker sings “...there’ll be a hot time in the old town tonight.” In both. Also in returns, penguin steps on his umbrella handle and helicopters up....(I thought that was really cringe in returns but that’s just me)

There were 3 seasons of Batman TAS, not 4. If you mean the final season, I don't know. I've only ever watched the original 85 episodes.

Okay, just skimmed an episode guide. There was indeed a vigilante called "The Judge" in one episode, but it was a different character than the one in this series. Might have been a nod to this.

The judge in Batman TAS was killing criminals, he was a vigilante. The Judge in the 1968 series was trying to capture/stop crimefighters to build his own criminal empire. Same name, different characters.
