I like this series because it is so easy going, without tension or major hassles.

In 1957 or 58 my Dad and I were leaving the Olympic Auditorium after watching wrestling. We get in Dads 53 Ford light blue with a dark blue top. Anyway he couldn’t get it to start. All of a sudden he blurts out, “ Get out get out” it was somebody else’s car. Same Year, make, color. My old man was something else! Speaking of wrestling the story would have been really funny if Dad would have said, whoa nellie. Like Dick Lane used to always say.😁

Wow. A time when you get a used car for 10 dollars a month. This sounds too good to be true even for 1950. Maybe in 1920 or 1925!

In 1968 I was 15 and bought a 1959 Opel Olympia. The clutch was bad, but it ran just fine. Then one time in 1972 I bought a 1960 baby blue T-Bird. The thing was great. You could buy a $50 beater in the early 70s we used to get one close to New Year’s Eve. Then on New Year’s Eve we’d drive around beating the heck out of it then just leave it where ever.
