G’day Russel, Just recently found your channel and really enjoy your videos! I wonder if you’re interested in doing a video of how Canberrans were represented before self government, through various advisory committees. I find there’s not a lot of information around about it, but I did hear the ACT Legislative Assembly Library recently collected documents from that time. Thanks again for the Canberra Series, looking forward to watching more! Shaun

G'day, Shaun! It is pretty interesting how Canberrans were basically denied access to democracy because they lived in federal territory. It is worth a look but it will take time. Might do a two parter as the early days of self government are a bit of a wild ride too! In the mean time. I recommend reading 'A History of Canberra' by Nicholas Brown. It has great insights into Canberra's history. Cheers

More of this in 2025 and don't be afraid to use YT Promotions. I can see you as a field reporter on a fun ABC show. I'd love to make a suggestion for a deep dive but I know nothing about Canberra. And I was a Raiders supporter up until the Super League. You're way too young for that nonsense. Point is, I don't know anything about Canberra other than I've actually enjoyed every time I've visited. The people who live and work there are always so surprised that I don't want to leave. (I settled for "we have Canberra at home" -- Albury/Wodonga, Wagga Wagga's bastard step child)

That's the plan! I want to turn the Canberra Series into a TV show on the ABC. I am glad there are others who love the city as much as I do! I'll have a look at the Raiders at some point in the future. Not much of a sports fan but I do enjoy looking at beefy men lol Have you seen any of my other videos? I've been lurking your videos a little while, friend. And I didn't want to offend with the Raiders reference, but I knew a sports reference might not meet your niche at the moment. They do have a weird history with Canberra, especially when they were the "dream team" back in the 90s. You've never met a more successful sports team with little local fanfare in your life. Fairly certain every finals victory they've had has been out of town, and they were hosting. Keep up the dedication, mate. The grind to get your hobby and passion is real and you've got a topic absolute nobody on Earth wants. And thats a shame because Canberra is pretty ace.

@Cars_Dogs_Cats ha ha ha yeah sport isn't my thing, but the Raiders are definitely worth looking into! The upside being the only one who makes this content is I become the one most associated with it, and I have little competition. Thank you for the support. Feel free share my content around. Don't underestimate YT promotions once you have a few more videos under your belt. You have to find your audience on this platform, you're up against dopamine hit after dopamine hit. Take care, friend.
