I low key do these drives checking up on different places around Harare. Honestly I feel as if we really don't appreciate the standard of living we have here, yes it's bad in some parts of Harare(names witheld) but compare that with most African countries and you will be shocked. Fix the roads, street lights, plant trees and a bit of paint here and there on old structures and the place is 5 ⭐

I admire the way you say 'something is not right here' but in a very smart way. These roads are worse than the way I saw them 20-30 yrs ago, yet people in high offices are making a killing as evidenced by the style of houses they build for themselves in the GRANGE areas.

Nice neighborhood s in Harare. I hope the names and streets would be renamed with African names.

From my observation Harare's property market is definitely well developed and diverse ... The only segment missing is townhouses and cluster homes in the high density areas.. That's the only type of property not yet in Harare..

And senior housing communities. Sometimes as one ages one wants to downsize n needs quiet n being around ppl of same age in a beautiful gated community with 24/7 security. Kana isu we can travel or live in our homes knowing mom dad a safe n happy

My observations : Most suburbs, especially the colonial Harare suburbs are leafy and so roomy - wide avenues that give that sense of space! How beautiful! Then, watching this video, gives me a feeling like i have lived here before, Why?... Because this suburb looks so identical to most colonial suburbs on the Copperbelt Province of Zambia were i was born and lIved in my earlier years of my life. Late 70s till to mid 80s. Alexandra park looks like Parklands, Riverside, Nkana West, Nkana East in Kitwe. In Ndola it looks somewhat like Itawa, Northrise and Kansenshi.....aswell as many colonial mining suburbs in other Copperbelt towns like Luanshya, Chingola AND Mufulira. Jacaranda lined Avenues. Hope i could visit "Salisbury" and enjoy that feeling :-) Keep up the good works Mr Zim.

It would be good to see these places ...yet the vehicle filming seems to often be way above a sensible speed for the driving condition
4000sqm is huge l like how they are far from the road, the colonial masters did a very good job there 🔨🇿🇼

@@anndrew7958 standards vary by continents d country. Appreciating a wild traditional English garden doesn't mean that that should be te standard and one can likewise appreciate the natural ladsape of southern Africa which is unique. When you have a global view, you begin to understand these things and the emphasis should be on pride for oneself not pride in order to impress foreigners

This drive through Alex Park gives a false view of the area. It is certainly not an estate! Hyped up estate agent speak. Churchill Ave has had open sewage flowing down it for over a year. The university grounds have standing sewage covering a wide area adjacent to Churchill. This is really smelly and a major health hazard especially for borehole users. The roads are as stated in poor repair largely due to the high volumes of traffic using them to short cuts to avoid the congestion on Churchill and the road closures on Borrowdale. This is a security issue with the through flow of traffic. Over 30 gate motors stollen in last month or so! Smash and grabs at College and Borrowdale traffic lights at night. The university grounds provide great escape route for thieves. There are not parks in the area! The residential side is being squeezed out by offices and business owners so quiet walks are not possible. The majority of the stands are residential but now being used for offices restaurants on an unofficial basis. Nice to see the film but it is inaccurate.

Hama you are spending 90% of your time showing us the road and very little time on the house which is of much interest to most. Your audience overseas are more for the view of properties not dilapidated roads
