Jean always plays Ymir’s advocate. He seems brash but he’s capable of putting himself in another’s shoes and empathize and understand them. Even if it’s the enemy. Even if they are coming to kill him. That’s my favourite trait of him. It’s even pointed out by Marco. Jean’s the one who dabbles at the notion that the Eren’s plan is what’s best for them but he also voices out how it’s wrong. He entertains both ideas with no prejudice. However, in a world where people always pick sides, this trait is often overlooked

Sad that all three commanders are gone now... Survey corps' Erwin, Garrison's Pyxis, and Military Police's Nile... It's crazy to think that all three of them died because of Zeke.

The conversation about how great AOT is to experience is so true. AOT is so unique you can’t compare it to anything. It’s like an out of body experience. It engulfs your soul through music, sound, events, story etc. It’s the pinnacle of television. It’s just different from everything else
@BunnyFlowers10 сағат бұрын
And it’s so crazy because there are a lot of shows that do all those things really well. But there is still nothing like AOT. It’s another level, in so many ways

What is ridicuous, too, is that in episode 3, or 4, in Season 1, Reiner gives a knife to Eren during their training and say:" Now you be the bad guy". Mostly everybody misses that detail :)

So many things to talk about, gabi and Sasha parallel was so beautiful, the nostalgia when they start killing titans and used barricades ( hit me right in the heart) that moment with armin and jean ...., Damn why aot is so amazing
I loved Rowan's "everyone's fighting the devil inside them, and Eren became the devil he has inside". Never thought about it this way

Finally, my new year holidays are hereee! So sorry I couldn't be here for Christmas. My country actually celebrates Christmas later at the same time as new year (despite also kind of being a christian orthodox country) so I don't think it's still too late to wish you a merry Christmas! Hopefully I can be there till the end of AoT reactions before my holidays end

I just noticed the music at 8:57 I haven't rewatched the second half of season 4 since I first saw it, so I don't remember much. But I HAVE rewatched the finale a couple times. This is the music they play during the climax. It fits there much better than here, I thought that they made it specifically for that sequence because the whole thing is so well-directed. There were rumors for years that the finale was going to be a movie (and it kind of is), so this coupled with how the music fits it better makes me think they were working on it for a long time.

Ronnie needs to clarify for them that Eren is only protecting the Elidans from Paradis and not all Elidans. I think thats getting them confused, and its a point that was already in 2 episodes now.

the word is never mentioned in the series, but i guess at this point it's more accurate to say "omnicide" - the elimination of all life. Genocide is refers to elimination of a specific nation, and it's clearly not the case.

This is a totally irrelevant comment to this episode, but here is my thought experiment. I just saw the movie The Others (2001) yesterday. And the ending gave me some clarity (no spoilers). A few episodes ago, Rivas said he supports Zeke’s euthanasia plan. (First of all, it’s basically genocide, and there’re a lot of execution problems. But this is not the point of my comment today). Then I remembered someone among you guys used “Australia” as an analogy to Paradis Island for arguing whether they would support Zeke’s euthanasia plan on Australia. After watching The Others, I realized this analogy is just incorrect. A more correct analogy would have been “the earth.” As a human being on earth, if you find out there are many other planets like the earth occupied by other living species that want to come to the earth to exterminate all human kinds, would you support all the human kinds on earth being made infertile and no humans will be alive in 100 years to save species on the other planets that you’ve never seen? Or would you want to kill off all the species on the other planets since they are coming to earth to exterminate us? This is the perspective of 99.999999% of Eldians on Paradis Island. The problem with the Australia analogy is that we all live in a world where everyone is connected across the globe. We only have the perspective like Armin’s and the rest of the main characters’ (who have traveled to Marley) since we’ve established connections with people outside of Australia/Pardis Island. So in conclusion, the earth is a more accurate analogy to Paradis Island.

1:59 people not liking season 4 is due to the adaptation of it, not the story itself. Ive been with the story since the anime came out. I remember when they announced that MAPPA studio was going to be adapting it, and i was very skeptical. When the first episode came out, I was heavily disappointed by the amount of awkward looking cgi and unnecessary placement of good animation like when the characters move their hands when talking. If WIT studio had done it, the animation, direction, and music would've been better. Not to mention, Isayama and WIT studio had a good relationship in which they held strong communication in order to make the adaptation be even better than the manga. After i got dissapointed with season 4, i decided to just read the manga, and it turned out to be better because it didnt have the weird physics and wacky animation. Im not saying season 4 was garbage either, they did a lot of things great, but i was just too dissapointed to care. I love the final movies tho. Of course, people who don't usually read manga and are new to aot wouldnt understand as much. When you see the original work, you automatically expect certain things yo be of quality. That said, i dont hate season 4. But i prefer the 80% of the manga
