They're great, but saying that a duo with good voices and a single instrument is better than a rock band is a little bit strange. The comparison would at least be more reasonable if there were five performers and the rest of the instruments that were actually used in the original song. Since the song is originally performed by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott, Mike Kroeger + a drummer and guitarist from different bands. So this song wasn't performed by Nickelback, Chad and Mike does not count for the whole band. Though with misleading videos on KZbin it's easy to think otherwise. They're awesome and got great voices and made a good cover of the song, I'll give them that, but better than Nickelback, or the the whole group of rock artists who originally performed this song? Nope. Then again, if that's your opinion I guess I'll have to leave it at that, just thought it was a strange thing to compare a duo with a rock band of four guys, or in this song's case; five. If you only put Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott on a stage with a guitar like these two did, I bet they'd show higher caliber still, and then you could also compare them more reasonably, though I'd wager most would say they'd lose, especially because of what you said yourself; Chad's voice. So yeah, that is what this bored Nickelback fan had to say about your opinion, nothing personal or hard feelings, just an opinion like yours. Not intending to be hostile and the sort. x)
