I saw Bon Jovi in Memphis in February of 1989, 34 years ago. Just watching Sambora walking out on stage alone in a long leather trench coat to start the iconic guitar intro for Wanted was worth the price of admission. I'm sorry, but as Jon said himself in an interview years ago when asked his thoughts about American Idol, "they're just glorified karaoke singers until they write their own stuff and perform it". I agree.
