Those charts that you showed of Samsung and Apple from IDC don't illustrate the real problem for Samsung. Those are not sales, those are shipments. Sales are quoted in money also called revenue and later on one can see profits. The bottom line in the quarter just announced by both Samsung and Apple, Apple made 14 times more profit from iPhones than Samsung made on their mobile sales (Samsungs includes both phones and tablets). Innovation is driven by profits that allow companies to invest in R&D. Apple has massive profits and spent 31 billion on R&D in 2024. Samsung has paltry profits and can't come close to spending as much on R&D as Apple.

Your right about it , Most average users can't but yet Iphone everyone buys. Iphones kind of rivals a bit in performance but no one uses max of it . Worst in Ipads because M chips are laptop grade. Personally I'd love to play with Elite or 9400 Dimensity ( not games I mean by play ) I kind of am tech enthusiast a bit so I love all these powerful soc. It's a dream come true cause now I finally push them to their limits . Put windows emulation or crank up settings without a care in world. Even tho these are powerful Soc's Surely they can't perform same as even 9th Gen Intel on chips and or Ryzen 5/7 of similar ( like 2014/2015 ) And these phone graphics might rival older 800-900 nVidia , if so then it should be okay to run older games like Nfs Run , Prototype , Avatar and such on phones , ( well depends on how emulation carries out ) I mean no one is crazy enough to run on phones but if they make nice chips , it is unfair to let those chips rest easy. I really want to try Red Magic 10 for that reason. Sure they're best gaming phone but I'm aiming to emulate , and check some stuff . Most people won't need that power but if they're selling as gaming phone , i'll treat them same as my laptop. Wuthering Waves also looks like a nice game . And maybe one day we'll see Phone games that can't run below 8Gen3 , a bummer for most but , we need least 1 of such games in android , that is paid , no microtransaction and only select few flagship/gaming phone can run.

Not sure why huge batteries are being praised. Huge batteries usually mean hugely inefficient processors and the battery has to be huge to compensate.

And the Voltage? 3.7V, bit more, bit less? I wish we'd just use Wh, which stands for the amount of power.

Do you think that at this point the companies could easily give us 10 000mAh batteries in the same form factor but instead they are "rationing" the increases so that every year they have something to sell the new phone with?

Ever since I got the Z Fold 3 and sold it after having the screen replace from it cracking by itself I've wanted a Fold almost every day. I'm still not sure I can trust a foldable yet and I think if one comes out it'll really be hard to justify its price. There's work to be done for sure..

16 GB RAM as standard on Mac should have happened as soon as the RAM price fixing in 2018 and prior finally stopped. It is dumb that a single M1 Mac sold with 8. I’m proud of you for speaking up on this point, but let’s take it furhter!

Nobody knows what you mean when you use mAh to compare phone batteries. Watt hours are where it’s at. ;) Although I do recall the iPhone 6s having 1700-1800 mAh before I changed units.
@Raja995mh332 ай бұрын
Sadly everyone is using mAh for battery capacity. It roughly works out with phones since they all have about the same voltage. But it doesn't work out as soon as that changes with like Laptops and such. And then some idiots come up and complain why a phone has 5000 mAh but their Laptop only has like 7000...
@BebeTechManiac-fu4wu2 ай бұрын
It's great that they are now focusing on increasing the battery capacity, but I already have a Tank 3 Pro with a 23,800mAh battery 😂 It's a very heavy phone, but I don't mind carrying this monster in a shoulder bag (it's not meant for pants pockets).

Huh. I'm curious how well these new batteries would work with Sony's Xperia battery care system. They're usually among the best for battery management. Also has anybody got any more info on the Sharp Aquos R9 pro? I saw a few places talking about it, but it's only speculation. I want to know if it's going to come to Europe, and how well those cameras perform.
