The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

​@@Kminek246 you could even go as far as the batches 1 and 2 of the Gripen A, those still didn't have IRIS-T missiles and even if they carried AMRAAMs 99% of the time, they were also cleared to carry Rb71s. I don't think it would be better than a Mig-29 or F-16 ADF

I've had the same experience with fast matches but at the 9.7-10.7 mark. The hoards of A10s and A6Es either destroy everything or they get wiped out within 5 minutes. The only time games are prolonged are when people are running in space where they can't reach with their 9Ls.

Well you see the D in it current state is what JA37C was. the only difference between C and D was that D had cockpit changed, electronic updated and could carry Amraams. They could give this load out to JA37C, move it to 11.3 and for 11.7 could give us a JAS39A Gripen limited to bombs and aim-9L. boom, much better

While this was happening in the background, I was flying my F-5C, got a major uptier and managed to down a Tornado and down an A-10 with my guns whilst missing my left wing (A-10 ripped it off with the 30mm). I landed to fix my plane and got back into the air to go against an AV-8 which was downed by someone else and then the match just immediately ended there.

I used to love the ja37C, sadly the skyflash isnt usable anymore because the usually phenomenal radar of the Viggen got destroyed by Gaijin and now loves going after chaff, even PD mode. But I think now the ja37d with aim 9Ls seems to be great. Only weakness actually is the acceleration. It out turns almost everything and rthe top speed is still great, too.

Day 52 of asking to play the yak4 at 2.0 Start by a dive directly at q base that has another base clise to it ( 2 bases beside each other) 4 bombs for each Go straight to your base killing some ai on the way with your 7.62 Some planes will come on your back going in a straigh line with minimal evading is recommended and try to hit their engines with ur turret since they have weak engines a damaged one will lead them to crash i return to the airfield with 2 bases with 4 to 5 ai kills and 1 or 2 planes after taking off i go for bases if left but if not i will focus on ground targets cuz aa is the bain of this plane so bombing airfields is not recommended Bonus:do not forget to have smoke always on to piss the enemies 🤣

After passing props in this game and making it past 9.0, I can say that I forgot how to dogfight because the missiles do it for you. I try to go back to props every now and then, but find myself getting absolutely slapped out of the sky because of a stupid mistake that the opponent actually capitalizes.

Bro what are you talking about? Have u ever play this jet yet? Yes the F16 and mig29 have better engine but that doesnt mean it better at dogfight. Because of bleeding speed so fast on Viggen will let you out 2 turn of these top tier jet. In long run Viggen will loose yes, but you can just turn and missile them or run away 🤷‍♂️

Personally I'm still disappointed by this addition. JA37C can carry exact the same load out. Aim-9L and flares. They could have give it to JA37C and move it to 11.3 and for a new rank 8 jet they could have added JAS39A Gripen (or pre-series) and limit it to bombs and Rb74 (aim-9L). That would be much better then just another copy and paste.
