Odds are this didn't come up as suggested. You came here looking for something. That's how I got here. I still have a broken heart. However, now I know why a broken heart hurts so much.

There's something intensely romantic about a group of musicians playing a beautiful piece in a small setting, immersed completely in the sound, temperments differing but all eyes focused on the moment. It's one of the aspects that make talented ensemble bands so beautiful.

Scott Welch watch the acoustic version of INNOCENCE the whole 8:28 is awesome
@3martiniplaydate7 жыл бұрын
Scott Welch You pretty much nailed how their music is so....deep (for lack of a better word). They just pull out your emotions and no matter how hard you try, they.re gonna come out whether they.re tears (i.e. Some Time Around Midnight, i.ve been on both sides of that story) or sing loud and scream....like Gasoline (been there too). I think they.re one of best bands of their generation. Cheers🍸🍸🍸

I have tried several times to watch the "Some Time Around Midnight" video without tears. Impossible. It rips open 4-year-old wounds every single time. But I don't stop watching it, because I'm apparently an emotional masochist.

This guys are wonderful live. This song however holds bittersweet memories. I had just came back from the Airborne Toxic Event concert. I met the lead singer briefly and the night was perfect. The next day, I was listening to this song and then I was dumped by the love of my life. This song just touches me in a deep way, it got under my heart just a little bit deeper than before. And I thank this awesome band for that.

I am so enthralled with this song, melody, countermelody play. There is a beautiful symmetry to the this music which makes me … nothing short of amazed. Starting 2:30 there is swelling in the power of the music, you can hear the whole song just grow into a powerful and emotional moment for when he begins to sing again. Simply breathtaking!

Reminds me of the scene in White Noise, a novel, when Jack finds out secrets his wife kept from him which then changes his life through the course of the book. That makes sense since the lead singer named the band after the second section in the book called The Airborne Toxic Event. Awesome book and band.

One of my favorite moments of this song, and especially this version is slight alteration of the lyrics from the final chorus: from "I wanna tell you I can change it when you cry at night but I'd be lying" to "I'll be trying" Both convey completely different song ideals with the change of one simple word at the perfect moment. Optimism and pessimism in the same message. It's wonderful. Personally I prefer the optimistic version, heh.
