The 339 Neo is a bad ass....not so much the 800, but thats fine....my favorite plane for sure......later 787.....

Totally feel you on that! 😎 The A330-900neo definitely has a lot of fans with its range and efficiency. The -800 might not be as popular, but it still brings some cool perks. Sounds like the 787 just got some tough competition in your book! ✈️🔥

The A330 is a very underrated aircraft. I think Airbus made a huge mistake by not pushing the A330 more. I suspect a lot of airlines now realise that the manufacters are overhyping the lastest crop of new models and have realised the in fact the A330 is actually an excellent aircraft that will suit their needs with a huge cost saving on purchase price. They are also able to acquire their aircraft sooner. Regards from South Africa

The A330neo might not have all the flash of some newer models, but it’s got serious staying power and delivers great value! 💰 Many airlines are definitely seeing that they don’t need the latest and greatest to get the job done right. The grafic you are displaying claims an 14-16% advantage in fuel burn for the 787-9 per seat/mile. So where are the 'superior economics' of the A330-Neo coming from that offset that? A cheaper purchasing price can only do so much.

However, the A330neo offers several economic benefits that help offset this difference: -Lower Acquisition Costs: The A330neo typically comes with a lower purchase price compared to the 787-9, reducing initial capital expenditure for airlines. -Maintenance Savings: Airbus has reported that the A330neo boasts 25% lower maintenance costs, thanks to longer maintenance intervals and new airframe components. -Operational Versatility: The A330neo's design allows it to efficiently serve a wide range of routes, from short-haul to long-haul, providing flexibility that can lead to better aircraft utilization and profitability. While fuel efficiency is a significant factor, these combined advantages contribute to the A330neo's competitive economics in the market.

Nobody seems to want the 800....must have a lot of competition within planes with that seating capacity.

Good catch! 👍 The A330-800neo does sometimes get overshadowed by its big sibling, the -900. It’s a more niche aircraft, but with its impressive range, it definitely deserves some spotlight. I’ll make sure to give it some extra attention in future rundowns! ✈️💼

The A330neo would invariably be better if it had GEnx power - the Trent 7000 has had underwhelming performance.

What are you talking about ? The Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engine is in no way underwhelming in its performance, what a load of rubbish ! The Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 is a powerful engine with many features that make it an industry leader: Thrust: The Trent 7000 produces 68,000-72,000 lbf (300-320 kN) of thrust. Fuel efficiency: The Trent 7000 has a 10% better specific fuel consumption (SFC) than the Trent 700. Noise: The Trent 7000 emits half as much noise as the Trent 700. Fan: The Trent 7000's fan is 112 in (280 cm) and displaces up to 1.3 t (2,900 lb) of air per second at take-off. Turbine blades: The Trent 7000's high pressure turbine blades generate around 800 hp (600 kW) and rotate at 12,500 rpm. Fan case: The Trent 7000's fan case is almost 10 ft in diameter, which is wider than the fuselage of a Concorde. Technology: The Trent 7000 uses advanced materials and ceramic coatings, and has an advanced engine health monitoring system. Durability: Rolls-Royce has designed a Durability Enhancement package for the Trent 7000 that can more than double its time on wing. The Trent 7000 is the latest member of the Trent family of engines, which Rolls-Royce says is the world's most advanced engine family. You need to do some research before making asinine comments !
