The Airgun Show - hide shooting with the Delta Wolf, PLUS the AFO Air Rover portable compressor...

Corvids are among the airgun shooter’s most challenging adversaries but that hasn’t discouraged Rich Saunders. Faced with an influx of crows, rooks and jackdaws on one of his permissions, Rich sets up a hide and uses the Daystate Delta Wolf to bring the feathered pests to book.
Also on this week’s show, Mat Manning takes a look at the AirForceOne Air Rover Portable PCP Airgun Compressor. If you want a mobile filling solution without the hassle of a pump or having to depend on someone else for bottle refills, this compact compressor will do the job either from main power or a car battery.

Well despite the criticism I think it was spot on. Explained what he uses , yes it maybe advertising but it also stops loads of questions and informs the viewers who may want to know. Boring ? No don’t see that at all , informative , accurate shooting and shows you how he uses his surroundings To maximise the opportunity for the pest control. You will always get people who like to put you down when they couldn’t do a better job themselves. 👏👏

I got the same compressor from Ali Express for 235$ and I love it. Super quiet compared to my Yong Heng which is way faster and also fills tanks. The portable compressor even works of my riding tractor battery while the tractor is running. Really versatile and compact. Awesome product!

The brass filter is too heavy for the foster fitting and will put pressure on the O ring seal causing a leak, try supporting the filter to level it with the compressor to alleviate the strain.

I agree Vin, why not have a 90 degree elbow so the filter runs along side the blue casing , with a simple support on the pump body, could easily be done by the owner ,but at that price should come as standard, YONG HENG every time, fill your bottle at home and take it with you !!!

@@MrAlphafang Hi Paul. I have a saying that 'a pest is only ever a pest if its being a pest'. Its my way of saying that I'll only ever carry out pest control if there's a need for it. And unfortunately, having tried everything else, the corvids were still being a pest, so needed to be shot...If the non-lethal measures had worked I wouldn't have to shoot the corvids.

Thank you for all your replies on why the presenter of the first segment liked the sound of his own voice to the extent that it took him seven minutes until he took his first shot, and that in his piece he had four minutes shooting. I do know there are new and experienced shooters watch the show, and I’m a regular viewer myself, but I’m sure we’ve been in a room with a very experienced person who just drones on and bores the pants off people, and I find this man that bore, almost pompous. Bring back Andy Watkins, look at his segments to camera compare with this chap and be honest, this chap is boring. I’m sure he’ll be back as he’s probably a friend of yours, just give him a brief to stop talking, give the relevant points and impress us by his clinical shooting.

Sorry if I was boring you Dave. I tried to show the context of why I was shooting and explain the approach. The internet is full of videos of people killing animals, but to my mind, shooting is much more than simply pulling the trigger and I try to reflect that. Sorry if that's not good enough for you. Perhaps we'll bump into each other at a show and I can show you what a bundle of fun I am really, always up to capers.

@@richsaunders6515 if people aren’t honest with you you’ll never know what people really think, you’ll just carry on making or doing the same thing. I’ve been a lecturer on a different subject, we were told to do a little, but do it well. If you have so much information to give the viewers the producers should let you prepare more videos on picking the right quarry, why your picking it, the general licence and why you can shoot it, the most suitable place to place the hide, hide making, camouflage clothing, shooting the air rifle including follow through, using hold over and hold under, what we the air gunners need to know, distance, elevation and wind, the list is endless. I’m sure your a nice cheery chap in your personal life, but I was sorry to be blunt but that’s how I found the show.

@Broad Side dear broadside, if you came to my house, which is highly unlikely, and I offered you the most horrible food you could imagine, and for me this would be cucumber, would you sit and eat it so as not to be rude? Or would you politely tell me you don’t like it? Don’t be hypocritical, I frankly don’t like this chap as he does it every time he comes on the show , I’ve been polite to him and the show, but this episode was crap, not up to the usual standard and frankly boring, why is it Andy Watkins do an interesting segment but this chap send you to sleep. I’m entitled to my opinions and if you think by questioning what I say gets you kudos from the show, your wrong. There I’ve said it, this show was CRAP. I can’t be more constructive than that.

How can you say 12 foot pound isn’t enough when people all day every day post videos of doing exactly this. Hi Lewis. I was the one pulling the trigger so really my opinion was the only one that counted. 50+ metres at large prey like corvids is too far for 12 ft. lbs. rifles in my experience and increases the likelihood of injury to an unacceptable level. Others may have different experience/opinion and that's fine, but ultimately I can only draw on my own experience and opinion.
