Terrific, I've seen that hangar frame but didn't know the history of it.

Thanks for the video! It is almost as interesting as the Aeronca 😊 Not quite, but almost 😊

More Aeronca content soon. Bad weather has meant very little Aeronca action recently - but there's a film with significant Aeronca content that I should complete just before Christmas. Busy with work flying at present too, and the list of honey-do's keeps me on my toes 🙂

Love the history….great that they saved the structure. Here in Tuscaloosa Alabama we had a hangar built in the 1940’s or sooner for the war. It was dismantled a few years ago. It had a round roof also. I use to go in it just to look at the structure. I think the round roof rafters were saved and are stored somewhere. Tuscaloosa was a base where WW2 pilots were trained and there were many pictures of the pilots in the hangar. I need to ask where the pictures went. Thank for the video….looking forward to some C2 rebuild videos.

Fortunately the local authority 'listed' several buildings for preservation at Farnborough and another piece of Farnborough trivia will feature on the next Aeronca C2 progress film - for quite an amusing reason - and on several more films as well. I was home in the early part of December but the weather was generally dreadful and not suitable for getting the C2 out of the shed. Home again soon and hopefully a bit more progress.
