Please tell Gary that I will give him only one chance to adopt me before I start to beg. I'm 70 years of age but quite mobile. I live in Australia but I'm sure my wife would be delighted if I buggered off to the UK. I await your response with devotion.

I'm 60 .. do I get an advance? Joking, the cars are amazing aren't they. working on the XJ220 program was the best job I ever had. Working for Tom was just excellent. I so love this video, what a great bloke

Awesome seeing inside Gary's workshop again, I used to deliver Jaguar parts to him years ago, and was always blown away, every time I walked through that door.

Another wonderful episode in this excellent series. Gary seems to have won all the important races and driven so many historically important cars but still seems to remain down to earth and a friendly approachable guy. Fingers crossed you can keep this series going and going.

What an incredible interesting gentleman, your father must be proud of you, of the business that was once his. Gorgeous motors. 👏🏼 you’re absolutely correct about there being a missed generation in machinery. Please keep doing what you love.

I'm lucky enough to live in Duns, home of the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum and a few years ago, heard a familiar noise coming down the road. One of the classic car magazines had borrowed TKF 9 for a photoshoot in the Lammermuir hills and it was heading for the Museum. I followed it down and was able to get some photos not only of the car but also Ian Scott Watson, who has recently passed away, a great loss. It made a fantastic addition to the Museum display, along with Dario Franchitti's ex-Clark Lotus Cortina. Last June, the Jim Clark Trust organised a fantastic day in front of Duns Castle, to commemorate Clark's 1963 World Championship and I understand that something similar will be happening next year to remember his 2nd.

When people say, "Find a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." This is that. It's great to see. I also love the idea of someone going to work in F1 as a mechanic and getting to experience that and then their post F1 job could be this. That would be an amazing career!

What a great video. Thanks for showing this at you tube. My wife and I had the pleasure to meet Gary's dad in march 2013 at Goodwood House. He was very proud of his sons and a very nice man to speak to. We've seen Gary driving lots of cars at Goodwood and Donington. This video brings back many great memories.

I remember Gary and his father from when I worked for Steve Llewelyn at Silverstone Circuit. A really nice bloke. He ran a pre 74 formula ford then and you'd regularly see his dad driving d types around the place. Amazing thanks

What a lovely and very down to earth fella Gary is. He has a lovely way of talking and giving just a little bit of his vast knowledge. I'm sure he could write several books on his experiences with racing cars and racing them from over the years. The UK really is the home of F1 and so many other motorsports, and as Gary said, classic racing has seen an explosion over recent times, greatly helped and promoted by Goodwood and everything that they are involved with.

Ooooh the Silk Cut Jags .... I worked for Tom in those days on the XJ220, but the Silk Cut Jags were the most gorgeous cars. They would fire them up in the factory & the sound just wonderful. Happy memories. And recently I sold my 3ltr twin Turbo XF Jag to get a Dalmatian puppy dog. I miss the Cat desperately, but I love the idiot dog 🙂 I do really need a car! Agh .... he's 2 years old now & utter chaos. I was well trained for chaos at TWR 🙂

Seems like the older gentleman has created a nice little circumstance for himself. He gets to hobnob with the upper crust and drive a lot of these cars. I wonder if he is grooming younger guys to share in the fun.

I think that green flags are the one thing that separates racing people from others, what I mean by that is just what he said in the video and that is a green flag waits for no one and either your ready or your not! That’s hard for many people to understand!

Beautiful cars. I love these historic racing events. I can't believe so many of these cars were racing 20 - 30 years ago. Are many cars normal road going cars converted into racing cars? Are Replicas like GT40 allowed?
