Everything this man influenced is staggering. I'm glad there are smart dedicated human beings out there like him. The synth is a timeless beautiful instrument too.. What a legacy..

I’m looking forward to getting the Korg midsized ARP 2600 this year and am hoping that some of that money goes to you and the foundation. Does Korg pay you a percentage of sales or did they pay an up-front licensing fee?

Hi Entropy! Thanks so much for your inquiry. I'm sure you'll enjoy your Korg ARP! To answer your question, the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation, does not receive a percentage of sales of Korg's ARP Synthesizers. There was no licensing of the brand, as it was in the public domain when Korg started remaking my father's instruments. That being said, Korg is one of several proud supporters of the Foundation-which is a 501 (c)(3) -but we are not part of Korg. We are supported regularly by Korg, Cherry Audio, Antonus, and many musicians, artists and music lovers. The Foundation IS legally allowed to use the famous ARP logo for our work.

@@AlanRPearlmanFoundation It’s a shame there was no licensing agreement even if not legally necessary, even if just to honor the inventor and legacy. Fair enough, I guess, that they do donate to the foundation, but to ease my sense what’s right I’ll send a donation to you before I place my order for the hardware.
