I must say I LOVE The Swedish Investors style of educational and informative style using the graphics'/visual approach to explaining what are often simple but sometimes also complex strategies and philosophies of the great investors and traders. Condensing down to the key takeaways and central learning points very quickly. Compared to reading big hefty books where key fundamental wisdom is often lost in the details...assuming people can even be bothered to read the books! If every investor/trader invested even 10% of their time and resources on learning and education they'd be in a far better position than most. And best of all, learning and education in finance and investing/trading is largely free and readily available. Practice, develop and PROVE your strategies before you risk capital.

You are absolutely right. He even goes beyond that. Soros explains to you the precise nature of the entire cycle from boom to bust over and over again. Say what you want about his political leanings (personally not a fan of some of his political views) but the man understands the psicological underpinnings of the market like very few do.

I started trading two years ago. I realized that I needed to work on my psychology and learn to read the tape, study more about the market and watch the market closely EVERY SINGLE DAY. I am actually very intuitive when it comes to people and the way the human mind works, so I always have great trade ideas. My portfolio is up 25% this year so far compared to in the shitter two years ago. I really like Soros' way because I can relate to it the most in my own personal life. I change trades and make moves based on what I think people are going to do and capitalize on it as well as considering the numbers / overall market activity. I love it. I want to become a professional but I have no schooling so I am trying to prove myself on my own and build capital with what little I have. I feel very hopeless, though.

God work but i disagree with some point and will have had added another take away of the books : -Reflexivity has a counterpart in natural science quantum physics, what Changes the result are the measurements instead of the thought, thinking of perception of people . -Probabilities don’t allow to make premonition but to measure risk ,this is why Soros use a Hedge when he tests his hypothesis. If his hypothesis are self reinforced he increase his position otherwise he reexamines his hypothesis to change it or liquidated . -Another part of his critical thinking he observes discrepancies between prevailing stock prices and fundamentals . One key aspect in the bum and burst pattern is to determine the trends (the increase or decrease of profit in comparison to the price of a stock.)this way he determine stock who are inflated or deflated . for example In the late 1960 during the acquisition or fusion spree of conglomerate Provoked an increase in price/earnings of stocks through debt or without an significant increase in profits to justice the increase in stocks price.

Abstract? It's market psychology that predicts everyone's stop losses and take profits and how that impacts the support and resistance, which in turn impact buying/selling pressure, which impacts investor's analysis, which predicts people's decisions. The same psychology is used in marketing, big data/predictive modeling, politics, etc. It's not predictability it's probability.

When you check backwards his financial operations via chart analysis, you realize that he's using basic support and resistance principles. His narrative in the book served to hide this fact. When you trade commodities, you definitely use technical analysis.

There is no difference between social science and natural science. There is only an information disparity. All measurements affect the outcome of what is measured. It's a fundamental law of physics. People in natural science just often forget that. If you had the same fidelity as you do in a physics experiment, you would be able to describe the economy just as well. The only problem is that you cant get that information. But there are plenty of things in physics with the same problem.

We Spend our lives educating ourselves, unfortunately some might choose the path of acquiring fame and wealth as their only ambition. Eventually, it cometh the day we realise that it is not the path worth pursuing. For to those who pursue the real values in life; wealth and fame with no objection instinctively enters their lives and follows them wherever they may go. Thus the real purpose of acquiring wealth and constantly protecting its value is by sharing and offering it to those much needy.
