Oh my God... I remember when they debuted on the mainstream charts in 2003 with Swing, Swing....I was in high school in Baghdad, Iraq and I was extremely depressed and dead inside. That song, album and band changed my life forever. What an amazing band with shitload of talent and I think they're so underrated. I hope I'd come to USA one day and attend their concert; that would be my whole life. Thank you The All-American Rejects for all of these great memories. I love you.

I think this is amazing! Most bands split and realize that they are just too different, but they were able to create a new sound and they are happy with what they are creating! The songs dont all need to sound the same in order for it to be "all-american rejects" it just has to come from their hearts and mean something to them. As long as their heart is in it people will listen, and we love it!
@noahrose21327 жыл бұрын
I was expecting just a song and I am not disappointed... You were honestly the first band I ever liked, the only band to get me into music because I honestly hated it before your band and after all these years I am still here supporting this awesome band... You helped shape this man AAR and I will forever stand by you. ❤❤❤
@jmorgan39777 жыл бұрын
You hated all music before AAR?
@noahrose21327 жыл бұрын
John Morgan Yeah, I was a strange kid... took no interest in any music and it irritated me when people would turn it on until someone played Gives You Hell, Move Along and Dirty Little Secret on my school bus.
@cflow20137 жыл бұрын
completely agree. I just didn't like music much either for some reason. Then in 2005 I heard move along on a Bionicle commercial (I was in fifth grade lol) and it was the first song I ever actively searched for. And it changed me forever. They've grown with me and it's so cool they aren't like some bands who are just doing it for money and are trying to keep their "early 2000's sound" or whatever. it's nice to see someone kinda understands.

As I'm growing up I'm finding myself making a lot of parallels between childhood and early adulthood. 10 years ago on my old iPod nano I'd listen to the entire Move Along album when my mom took my brother and I to Chick fil A for a weekly Saturday night treat. Now my brother's going on 25 and lives 900 miles away and I'm in my second year of college and looking at nice neighborhoods on the other side of the country. At the root of it all I'm still ten again, listening to 11:11 PM and drinking a vanilla milkshake when I'm listening to 11:11 PM and writing another English paper. It's almost whimsical to watch AAR grow up with me in a way--neither me nor my connection to them got lost along the way.

At some point in life the bands you enjoyed listening to as a kid, will change, just as i'm not the kid from those years ago anymore. But the fun part of it all, is that in the process you learn to recognise a certain passion/dedication in the music the bands produce. Which allows you to instantly fall in love with the new music, even if it''s a different genre than what you normally listen. The passion and story in the songs it's what it always should be about. The way some instruments are used to back it up, can send shivers of joy down your spine, and the lyrics will keep you baffled and stunned with amazement. And it won't end tonight. And neither will it end when the band stops playing, the only time it might end is when your life changes again, but even then it becomes a pleasant memory. And i'm glad to say that for me, i have some lyrics to learn so i can sing along with the radio/my playlist and if i'm lucky enough some day a live performance

You guys have always been and always will be my favorite band. I'm here through thick and thin. People always ask me who my favorite band is and when I tell them, AAR, they would often say "Oh those guys haven't put a record out in a while huh?" I'm always just kind of like, "and your point is??" Good music takes time. You guys write from the soul, even when you were trying to write the "catchy" song there was still always a purpose. I'm SO GLAD you have all taken a turn for the better and deeper meaning in music and life. I like this whole, AAR "finally" thing. Keep doing what you're doing.

THEY GUYS?? lmao its the "look at me im pretty " tyson show. while he embarsses himself with his weird crossdress fetish. YUCK
@DannyD-lr5yg3 жыл бұрын
User Name What’s wrong with somebody wanting to look pretty? Who cares if it’s a man who wants to look pretty? And, the director approached _him_ with the idea, something new he’d never thought of. So, no, he definitely doesn’t have a crossdressing fet!sh (although if he did, who cares?!) He’s a performer; an actor. Actors (good ones, anyway) plays roles so we, too, can explore our inner selves, our own complex personas, the roles we play in our own lives - and the roles we want to play, or leave behind. So, your main complaints are...1. He performed for viewers, 2. He was confident in how he looked, and 3. The most ironic: he broke out of his prescribed role (as a man), which is literally exactly what he’s trying to convey. Tl;dr it’s no one’s issue but your own if the gripes in your comment are all you took from this.
