I hate anime and japan but you're literally wrong, Japanese swords (tachi, katana, nodachis) only have rigid carbon steel in the edge, the rest of the blades are steadily softer steels. Katanas bend, not break. Also, due to being single-edged they have a very long bevel and thick spines, so they're even less likely to break. You literally have no clue what you're talking about
