After multiple rewatches I am wondering if nubby is meant to be a squat given his very short height and only conformation we have he is not a ratling. Given how unknown squats would by most it'd explain why they couldn't accurately classify him.

I love how through this arc you can feel the pc's and players growing to love their students. First calling them just trainees or by their original career, then calling them recruits (not much of an ungrade but an upgrade none the less), finally as each found their footing and did well '[PC]'s boys' and '[PC]'s squad'. Spoilers for new listeners: I like the way Nubby's girlfriend gives Slaaneshi vibes just constantly. Requiring perfection and specialization, her MO is all about misdirection and lightning strikes, her plans are fiddly and demand elegance... And of course being preternaturally beautiful all the time. Even inspiring irrational loyalty in her crew and Nubby! *And she stopped trying it on the rest of the party after the holy water!* This series isn't exactly subtle, but damn it's well-constructed.
