The new CX is overall better than DJI, keep in mind the DJI starts at 7000€ and has zero Dealers/longevity data. People love complaining, Bosch managed to improve an already pretty good motor and making it even better and enjoyable. Also 85nm is more than enough for 99% of people. Also you can get Bosch cx at 3000€ vs DJI starting 7000€
@dansadventures5514Ай бұрын
To everyone comparing against DJI, I have the current gen Bosch CX. I've had days climbing 5,000 feet of elevation and was never limited by 85 NM of torque. In fact, the only limitation is tire grip and being able to shift my balance forward enough to prevent me from falling backwards on a steep incline while still keeping sufficient weight on the back tire to maintain grip. I'm always in EMTB mode for that natural feel as Turbo mode is too powerful taking me for a ride versus feeling like I'm doing the riding. The new Bosch motor being a bit lighter, smaller, and more importantly quieter sounds like a perfect fit for my next emtb especially with the proven Bosch reliability.
@RaumanceАй бұрын
My bike is a lot weaker but somenhow that is a good thing... This is an absolute company bot comment. No real person can make these conclusions. Bosch knows they dropped the ball with DJI coming out so apparently they are now hiring commentors. No one would ever say "proven Bosch reliability". It's not a phenomenally reliable motor. Bosch motors do break. Friend has his 3rd CX in 2 years now and it's not functioning correctly as new...
@dansadventures5514Ай бұрын
Haha, so now I'm a bot or paid commenter 😂 Making a decision based on torque numbers above 85 NM is meaningless for me especially comparing with a Bosch motor. For me, smooth power delivery, battery life, noise, and proven reliability are more important factors. If you're running low on torque on a 85 NM Bosch motor then you must be in the wrong gear or haven't actually ridden a Bosch EMTB.
@RaumanceАй бұрын
@@dansadventures5514 I own a Bosch CX bike... You could say what you are saying about any bike... It's so brain dead. Like between Powerplay and Bosch there is a massive difference in power. But Bosch does have the best software choices for power delivery with instant power and overrun. And Bosch has a better power curve than any of the competitors excluding Powerplay. But comparing to Avinox you can't compete with any of the existing motors the power difference is just too wast.

@e_mtbАй бұрын
I agree with the good support network of bosch, but DJI is also starting to build it up now and there are many shops, that are interested, because of the huge demand, so we will see how widespread it will become (the have accounced to start in Germany, so here are the first shops listed on their website). But on the other hand, the dealers cannot help most of the times anyway with the electric stuff, they simply replace the problematic parts and this is something everyone can do quite quickly, if he has not two left hands. So I wouldn't see it as the biggest problem, as long as DJI is able to deliver spare parts quickly and unproblematic to the customers when problems occur.

Right. So what do we really have here. Other than the decoupling mech for downhill rattle, all other "updates" could've been made via software. But wait. Bosch, more notably bike brands, couldn't force obsolescence on the CX4 this way and supporting frames that use them. Forcing your market to purchase 2025 year model bikes. Sleazy move. We, your consumer, wanted serviceability. Parts. Spares. Compatibility. Adding value in what we paid for already, adding value in your product. Which is lightweight. Paper weight considering the upcoming competitors. One final word. Bosch, that's bold and a dangerous game to play with your current consumers, considering the competition that has let out of the box.

@e_mtbАй бұрын
@@JustEnjoyingWheels I read several reports and watched some videos and the overall tenor was that they don't fit. The new motor has just two mounting points, the old one has three, they seem also be positioned slightly different. It might fit in bikes, that are using the Bosch > SX < motor (not CX), because one brand (m1 sportstechnik) is offering the same bike with two motor options, but I am not absolutely sure about it. But the CX4 will not the replaceable with the new CX, you will not be able to buy it directly anywere, it's the common bosch policy, that only brands have access to these motors and these brands want to sell new bikes, they don't want you to update your old bike. They justify it with legal reasons, because the motor is an elemental part of the bike and the product would lose it's registration if you change it afterwards, every single bike would need to run through a whole new checking procedure and the effort would be enormous, so they say, nope, not possible, you need to buy a new bike (which of course also makes them more money, so they are not too sad about it)
