It looks much better than the previous generation inside and out. I'm just a little surprised that they don't have the entry-level LS trim anymore. I'm also a little disappointed that they went with a CVT vs. the 6 speed automatic like they did in the Trax which seems to fit the bill quite nicely and would have also been a plus for shoppers with a disdain of the CVT offerings in competing vehicles.

the AWD one gets 8 spd and only loses 1mpg average so thats the one to get.

Good review. Looks really good but don't care for that CVT. I'll stick w with my. 22 Equinox LT FWD w my 6 speed automatic. I'll stick with my Boring 22 Equinox because it seems to do everything right &.it's not priced in the mid to upper $30's,with a lot of Crap we really don't need. Come on Chevrolet 😮😮

Chevys don’t carry much power in the equinox so I don’t even know why they bothered putting a cvt.

@@HALWG51 Yup artificially reduced, which tells us the CVT is at its limits and they felt couldn't handle the engine's full torque. This is a bad sign for longevity. Horrible powertrain by 2025 standards. :(

GM isn't a joke anymore, the 1.5 is a new motor for this model or a carry over from previous generation?

I have to believe it’s a carry over. The power figures are the same as the last generation of Equinox, but it does feel slightly more refined in this new one. They probably made some small tweaks to it at the bare minimum.
