The Anker 621 is one of the thinnest magsafe battery packs on the market and still offering that 5000mAH capacity. Can it fix one of the issues that i've experienced with using some of Anker's magsafe packs, heat.

I bought the 621 for a day hiking trip where I knew I’d be taking a lot of pictures and videos, didn’t use it until my iPhone got to around 20% and back to around 80%. In a pinch or for travel, it can’t be beat in my opinion. There’s heat, yes, but I just put my phone on airplane mode and let it charge and it’s actually very minimal and gets the job done. Not my intention to use it everyday but it’s so easy to carry in my pocket I think it’s a no brainer just in case. Would recommend but, use airplane mode if you can while traveling for 30 min and it’ll get you back to half a day worth of use!

Euker 10K on Amazon. I love everything about this one and I have no issues with heat on my S22 U. The Anker one gets a touch warm but not like he describes. Maybe it's because I have an S22 U and it's getting hot because it's iPhone 🤷🏽‍♂️. Plus on the S22 U it fires up at a higher power in Magsafe because Samsung can charge up to 15w wirelessly and I believe this battery pack is a 10w magnetic, 20w plugged up

The electromagnetic field between the transmission coils is the reason for power transfer, but if not properly shielded could also be the cause for the extensive heat. It induces eddy currents in nearby metallic objects. If the design of the power bank is a little flawed in this regard, this would explain why it heats up like this.

It’s currently on sale for prime day and I’m considering getting it. I currently have the apple magsafe charger but I’m curious to try this one out. It not being MagSafe certified is what throws me off about it. I don’t mind the overheating as I would use it only while having my phone idle. But not having that firmly secured “MagSafe feel” might throw me off especially if it’s moving around in my pocket. Great video bro, I’ll definitely be trying it out myself.

@@notsurewhat2put honestly because it just didnt charge my phone at the time enough (iPhone 13 Pro Max) And even so when I did use the MagSafe battery pack to charge I was barely getting around 35-40% back on my phone and that used the entire battery pack! So it just didnt seem worth it even with all the apple integration. So I ended up gifting it to my best friend since he would appreciate it. Now with my 14 Pro Max with the Anker battery pack, not only was it less than 50 dollars (sale), but it charges my iPhone at least 60%, uses USB-C and has options for the charger to be a phone stand OR a pop socket on the back, so it just ended up being the more practical and functional option for me since its just a charger that sticks on the back of your phone at the end of the day. hope this helps :)

The battery capacity labelled is not actually the capacity in the battery and also, any type of charge will cost some electricity because of the conversion, that really depends on how well the circuit is designed. Lastly, the heat generated takes a lot of juice away as well. Wireless charging is really not an efficient way to charge devices, if they are not designed for convenience, there's no point in buying them. I guess the heat problem of this particular battery pack is because the thin design takes away the space for heat distribution as we can see it's even thinner than the Apple battery which only has half of capacity.

I can't find the info I need on the Anker website. My go-to-airlines (Delta) does not allow power banks over 160-watt hours per battery. I know it has 5,000 mAh, but how many watts? Also, Delta states: Each fuel cell cartridge and system must be durably marked by the manufacturer with the wording: "APPROVED FOR CARRIAGE IN AIRCRAFT CABIN ONLY". I've never heard of such a rule. Do all power banks have this printed on the unit itself? This is a first for me.

Well i'm sorry to tell you, but it is not MAGSAFE, as you can see from missing MagSafe animation (and also from Anker listing on Amazon). That not only means missing graphics, but also it is not Certified by Apple and also not have that much protection via iPhone software itself for heat and controled speed as certified MFI/made for MagSafe products do better than only Qi "other" products. It is just cheaper to made for these companies. If you do not belive what i mean, You can test it even with original Apple charger and any MFI or best the original Apple usb-c to lightning cable and try to charge it and meassure heat of the phone and charger and also total charging time beside not MFI charger and cable. It will be longer and with much more heat that also destroy battery in long term much faster :\

The reviews on Amazon with this one are very bad, I saw 3 or 4 reviews of people just complaining about the heat. One guy said he got the warning on his iPhone that it got too hot, that's dangerous.

I’ve seen a lot of tests about MagSafe battery packs but no one is perfect. I love Anker but too much grat. is shit. I think it will be the Apple one. That’s sad.
