It's insane. I play mostly indie and retro games. What I look for in a laptop isn't raw power, it's reliability. Whenever I read one of his titles I think I'm going to find a good deal. Something with decent build quality, solid battery life, and a nice screen to make that pixel art really pop (Wifi 6E and BT 5.2 are also nice to have)... But no. It's always some super expensive overloaded device. Why would I ever need an i7 with an RTX 4060? There's nothing "budget" about this.

I got a 4060 laptop, Lenovo LOQ, for the past 3,4 months. I sold my 3060ti, ryzen 5500 desktop for ~550USD. Got this for around 1k USD. I saw before that comparing them both would result in pretty similar performance. The big selling point was that it would come in a smaller form factor, a decent screen (my desktop one was on the verge of breaking) and new hardware (old desktop was atleast 3,4 years old). I'm happy. Runs games just fine, adjustment period to a laptop from a desktop. This example of the 4060 is a tad over priced. I'd say stick to 1k range.

I've had it for a few months - it works great. It's really not loud for gaming. This is an economical gaming laptop that cannot be seriously criticized for anything. I had HP before - and this one is no worse made. Case is plastic, yes. But it's stiff enough (I carry it in my backpack). The speaker plays loudly, but with poor quality sound. But it's enough to watch movies. The screen seems a bit faded, but after one day you get used to it - it's the weakest part of this laptop, but it's not a disaster. It does not heat up (about 70 degrees on the GPU memory). Everything runs at 60FPS+ on maximum settings in FHD. The keyboard 'feeling' is quite nice - no worse than in more expensive laptops. Overall, great equipment for its price - fast CPU, fast GPU, fast refresh rate, not too loud, not too hot. Oh - and there were no problems with installing Windows 11 from scratch and adding other RAM.

@@wasa_0129 its a good laptop !! im playing only warzone and some old games mores but in warzone in full , i get 60% of gpu and 69-71 % cpu , its cooling very good !! and its not noise , i set on setting to middle to get more fps and less graphic and its pretty nice . Fast and good . 👍🏻 ( on warzone i get 210 fps with dlss on )

It's a Clevo rebranded laptop. You'll see similar models from various companies soon. At $1400, it's too expensive for a laptop with a 4060 GPU and a 1080p screen, particularly when you can snag a RTX 4070 laptop with a 2560x1600 display for the same price.

Okay so i just want some clarification... i see that the CPU TEMP is reaching almost 90°+ with HORIZON, are these temperatures normal? And are they designed for long gaming sessions? Is there any sort of risk of damaging both the GPU and CPU? I would be eternally grateful for any help 😊

Modern CPUs from Intel and AMD don't start to throttle until 95'C-100'C. GPUs about 85'C. They can run at these temps as they are designed for it, won't hurt them, but it's always nice when things run cooler. Noise vs. Cooling, which would you prefer? Laptops are bring made thinner as well, which makes cooling more difficult.

@@Berserkism That is a big help on the info, i bought a GIGABYTE G6 KF with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU Intel Core i7-13620H gaming laptop and well i saw it was reaching the 90°'sC on the CPU, i mostly use it on my 50" TV but bought a turbine commercial grade cooling pad, it's an IETS GT600 and it has been a blizz, although games vary in temperatures it has done a BIG difference keeping temps nice and steady on CPU reaching as low as 60°C and 40°C on the GPU or lower, i do blast it to 2800RPM and honestly the fan noise is no bother to me just so as long as i can have my game sessions, and so far no thermal throttle or shut downs much less any message saying the laptop is too hot, i just really wanted to confirm, again many many thanks!!!!

​@@foxackyou can run your cooler quieter, you dont risk shutdown for years if you get your cpu to 80 c rn, when u do shutdown if it happens you can always turn the cooler up as a temporary solution b4 cleaning your device, but u shouldnt want to run it at a much lower temperature because it makes no difference at all and you're just deafening yourself for no reason.

@@ayopac Updates? Gigabyte is in their lawful contract warranty right to decline the warranty due to it being past the agreed date. And they told me to go pound sand for it. I have told hundreds of people about this experience and the majority have agreed to also never buy Gigabyte products (even peripherals) ever again. Will they feel it in the annual sales? Probably not, but it’s still costing them some revenue.

( just my opinion.)future reference , fortnite on pc,any player should be using the performance mode , youll find the slider saying direct x 10/11 by default..the game is so unoptimized.. the best benchmark instead of a creative map.... first load in a solo .. jump out insta... give it 15-30 secs diving downard..quit the match... re-queue into another solo.... the performance u see after that is a great reference of how someone could expect with whatever hardware setup ur showcasing.... longtime fan love ur vids eta

You can't compare new to used. And you have to be really picky with laptops, not all 4060 are the same, spec vary from 35 to 115w so there is a HUGE difference.

They're still around, just not with a discrete GPU. I remember paying about a grand for a 960M laptop about 7 years ago. $1400 for a 4060 isn't unreasonable for a new product, but at the end of the product life cycle, that should be getting some deep discounts, so I would never pay that much for a machine like this. At $1400, much better buying a mid range desktop unless you need the form factor of a laptop.
