Its nice kit, if dual zone toms aren t needed this kit gets job done quite well for bargain price point at $ 450 is affordable. Less flash w black rack but i like how it conceals cable snake. Clean compact little kit w big kit attitude.

I bought the original with the expansion pack, because of your review. Unfortunately it was a hassle to get it to my Island and costed me an extra 300 dollar on top but it arrived last week. The service from Music & Arts was horrible but in the end I'm very happy with my purchase, so thanks Keithron :) Although I wish I knew about the B-ex because black is beautiful :) ooh btw, I use them as midi controllers as well with my TR-808. TR-909, TR-707, TR-727 and TR-606 and they work out of the box so no midi mapping needed.

Do you have any recommendations on how to setup a double bass pedal in a correct way? I bought the Titan 50 like 3 months ago since I've been watching your videos for 6+ months now. But as hard as I've been trying I just can´t set it right to make the same impact as a single pedal due to the trigger, I've tried adjusting both beaters like to try and hit the center but sound and trigger is still much lighter and not the same as a single pedal. Btw the double pedal is a DW 5000.

Why Simmons? You seem to favor Simmons, and they really are no longer good. Back in the day, Simmons used to be the best electronic drum company out there. Now, unfortunately, they really are not that good. There are much better e-drum companies that make substantially better e-kits. Most drummers want an e-kit to be as accustic like as possible. Simmons does not feel this is necessary as they say that they make electronic drum sets, not accustic drum sets. Therefore, they feel there is no need for them to make accustic realistic e-kits as there are enough other companies doing that, and they say their e-kits do not need to be more accustic like as they are electronic. Sadly, I feel Simmons is behind on electronic drum advances. The small pad sizes and only half working cymbals are a thing of the past. Simmons has improved on the touch screen module, and that is nice. Simmons also has made some improvements to their sounds. Sadly, these improvements are only superficial. Other e-drum companies still have better sounds. I know that for Simmons, not to make more accustic like e-kits does keep the price down. Unfortunately, Simmons only seems to make "beginner" lower-budget e-kits. One problem I see and had with Simmons kits is after you learn on them and then go to play an accustic drum set or a high-end e-kit you find you need to relearn how to play drums as the dynamics, expressiveness, and playability are so different. If you want to become a good, great, or professional drummer, learning on a Simmons e-kit will not work. If all you want is some drumming style fun and you do not want to spend a lot of money, then a Simmons e-kit would be fine. Another problem with Simmons is that back in the early 80s, Bill Bruford did play a big Simmons set on stage with the band Yes. At the time, it was the best and coolest e-kit out there. Now, with the modern Simmons e-kits, would you play one live on stage? There are a good handful of drummers that use e-kits live on stage, but none of them play a Simmons e-kit.
