Gotta say... Great review, and thank you! I'm about to switch to electronic because of surgeries. As a gigging player, what would your call be here? And... what would you use for amplification in a medium-sized venue to get that solid low end on the kick? Thank you!!!

Are the crashes on the Titan 70 dual zone? Do they have choke? It looked like you said the Donner dual crashes, but the Titan's crashes only had single. PS - Great reviews. Im getting back into drumming and these two have been my struggle along with the Alesis Nitro Max and Alesis Surge.

Thank you for this in depth review. I'm not a drummer, but I needed a kit for my various band rehearsals at my house. I bought the Titan 50 based on your thorough comparison.

Man you know your shit! Answered every question I had about my new titan 50 in less than 10 minutes and in perfect detail. I had no problem following you. Some videos people ramble and drag shit on and you gotta skip around to find what you're looking for. You were right to the point. Everything you need to know 1 after the other. Perfect 👌 And you're a hell of a drummer too!

I recently moved house and couldn't have my drums set up anymore. I had seen some bad reviews on this, I was hopeful though so I tried some. I agree they do not work. I sent mine back and got a refund.

Wondering if you have any plans to review some real feel cymbals and hi hats, like the Low Volume cymbals with triggers? Starting to think about upgrading my hi hats to some of these for more real feel.

KP - Great video thanks for the comparison. I currently have Simmons sd350 kit and am wondering is the Simmons sd350 rack more sturdy and more stable than the alesis nitro max rack? Is it possible to put the alesis nitro max pads/heads, cymbals n module onto the SD350 rack(if its a more sturdy n better rack)? Also i will use snare stand for nitro max snare. Let me know ur opinion. Thanks

Really great honest review. My DED500 Pro kit will be delivered this week. I am really keen to get the additional Cymbal and Tom. But Donner hasn't got them. Not sure why. But in saying that. The module does allow for 3 zone cymbals. I'd like your opinion on which would be good buys to get a set of three 15"+ 3 zone cymbals. That'd be really helpful info. Another would be a good 13-14" snare. I could use the stock snare as an extra floor tom. But great share. Thank you.

well after watching many of your videos on the titan 70 and the SD1250 I went ahead and purchased the SD1250 for my little home studio setup. Since i was going to be triggering this kit with Superior drummer and EZ drummer, i wasn't really concerned about the module. aside from two of my cymbal clamps having retention lugs snap on my after binding while tightening, the entire kit went together quickly and easily. for some reason it took me a little bit to get it working with my computer as it wasn't registering as a midi device on my mac at first. I swapped around some USB cables and it suddenly started working. Wasn't able to get my mac to recognize it as a bluetooth device to pair with, which i thought was odd, but since i got it working via USB not really that concerned. I was bummed with the lack of android support for the app still. thought they would have had this figured out by now, but i guess not. Now i just have to figure out how to get the hi hatt controller to have a more dynamic range on the pedal. right now it kinda goes from tight closed to open with no in between. I also feel like the snare really you really have to slam it to get full velocity, so i am sure there are settings i can mess with the get it hitting harder without having to beat the hell out of the drum. All in all so far i am diggin it, and what it will bring to my setup. Now i just gotta learn how to pllay drums worth a damn :)

They’re never going to make the app work on Android. They’re moving to the Titan series so all updates are focused there when it comes to the app. In fact… it’s a completely different app. Make sure to go in and map the drum to Simmons. If your don’t do that, it’ll work but not as good as you’d like.

I am very interested in that fed200, i uses to play acoustic drums but its like 5yo,and it was a low quality kit, my rack toms are miles away from each other, my throne is broken, my hihat stand to, my crash stand doesnt have the capability to change the height so its a pain to do fill, i have very bad chinese cymbals, like made of the cheapest aluminium, sadly my parents refuse to buy me a new kid cause they saw a video of an african kid playing with buckets, so I'd be pretty grateful if i got a new kit. (I'm from Mexico btw)

How's the hihats on this thing? I know it won't be as good as the higher end kits that have moving hihats on a separate stand, but I want to know if the hihat is at least better than the Nitro Max? The Alesis Nitro hihat pedal is so innacurate and has you have to be extremely precise with your foot pressure to change between closed and half-open. Drives me nuts. I have two days left to return it and I'm thinking about doing that and getting this Simmons TD70 kit instead, but if the hihat isn't any better then I don't know if it'll be worth it, as I don't really have any other problems with the Nitro.

My brother gave me his after saying it wasn’t working great and that he tried to calibrate it but wasn’t getting results. As a non drummer, but having tooled around on drums before I can say it is awkward as all hell. Having even a pillow or something to bang on and having an impact response from striking it would be better than playing on air. A good analogy would be punching a punching bag versus punching the air at full strength. The lack of physical response changes the fundamental movements so much it might be detrimental to your real drum playing unless you have prior experience. The angles which trigger the cymbals and toms don’t seem to be consistent and the problem of course is that the drums are virtual. The tolerance to what triggers the snare and cymbals is super hard to feel; when you’re playing drums are you really questioning if your arm is at least at a 45 degree angle so a hi-hat will trigger. Dunno man, super disappointed in this product but mostly because I was excited that it would work. Also, the demo on the tutorial video for this product is completely faked in my opinion.
