Yeah, they use a launcher that locks it so you might take a look at other launchers out there to modify it the way you like. As far as the hotkeys you can check out reprogramming them like a smart remote does.

They did have problems buffering, but it was on Wi-Fi. If I bought one, I would plug it into the ethernet. I would buy this to watch sports. I have the v3 and you can go back up to a week playback and also has VOD section that has over 12,000 tv shows/series which they add the latest show within hours of it airing and a crazy amount of movies on demand to choose from about 30,000. I have had my box a month and only had a channel freeze on live tv once but was easily solved by turning the box off then back on. I’m not a sales person just a consumer

Hello my question I would love to see if you might know I have a box and I found out that it’s uploading a lot of data. I understand it will upload a little bit of data to verify check the system updates etc. However, when I use it during the day to watch, say a couple hockey games and football, it might download 15 to 20 GB but it’s uploading 15 to 18 GB. My question any idea what data it is sending why so much and to whom? Thanks

None of the boxes we have tested use anywhere close to that, maybe a couple hundred MB a month for standard use. Either you have a neighbor that is using your network which is easier then you think. I have seen many that add apps on their boxes that will do this, Also contact the box manufacturer and ask them directly.

Great video and love the box! I am thinking buying one. When I had dish network, I loved the feature to pause & rewind and record live stations. After I come home from work I can watch stations I recorded. For example, can I record world news when I come home from work because I come home from work later? Also can I pause and rewind live stations? All this was very nice in my dish network.

I get that, I really do. I look at is as a how much I can squeeze out of the services, it comes down to those that are paying for all the services separately comes out to an average of $149 each month now, so how long before the box pays for itself and how many more will I get after that payoff. It's a numbers game and so far I have not seen anyone loose money yet. You could always buy an Nvida and apply apps to it, which is another great way to go. Thanks for watching
