Omg the fabulous 50s I was born in 1970, but my mom, dad, aunt Barbara and aunt Pat brought me up on this music. Barbara and Pat are passed on now, watching that big oldies concert in heaven. Aunt Barbara, Aunt Pat, thank you so very much for bringing up on this music, I cry and think of you both everytime I hear this wonderful music. Thank you both for the wonderful and beautiful memories, I will cherish them forever. RIP I'll see you soon, your Nephew Mark.❤️❤️❤️❤️😘🌹

All of these artist, especially the backup singers are giving everything they have. To say their performance is so so, is not recognizing all of the practice and effort it takes to put forth such a performance.

Father was a professional boxer, with a silky smooth voice. This young prodigy is right on with mannerisms; but has an overworked, hoarse vocal range.

He can’t touch Jackie’s amazing, powerful, flexible, versatile voice. But he’s a nice guy and I’m glad he’s working. I think he found out about his father once he was an adult.

The first song "Tonight Could Be The Night" really good in every way. Next, the three Japanese Girls "Mr. Lee" are amazing and astounding - about 99% the same as the Bobettes of long ago. After that their "Zoom" by the Cadillacs almost as good. Wow! As for the rest, I can applaud their enthusiasm but, imho, only so-so.

The Four candles do a wonderful job(although I miss their female associate when they were the "Velvet Candles")They're a fine representation of the wonderful doo-wop renaissance taking place in Spain today among young people .The Asian group did a stellar version of the old Bobettes hit"Mr Lee" and a credible performance of the old Cadillac song"Zoom". Peter Sandberg did a cool Rock-a billie tribute with the "Mostest Girl" Marla Marvel did a nice soulful version of"I say".Patrick Ouchene was very flat on his lead effort on "Come Go With Me", despite fine backing by the 4 Candles. The Crystal Dawn lead on the Channels' "Bye bye Baby" was fair but certainly no Earl Lewis.Bobby Wislon looks exactly like his late Dad, the great stage performer and singer,Jackie Wilson.He also sounds like Jackie, but he couldn't dancelike his dad(but no one else could either, not even Michael Jackson!)

Guys. I worked with Krio Johnson and Norm Wright of the Dell Vikings for several years. They have just rolled over in their graves. This was possibly the worst version of Come Go With Me I have ever heard. The singer was an insult to a classic Doo Wop standard.
@Tom-gv2eo Жыл бұрын
BYe bye Baby was sung by The Channels, from Harlem in 1959? The Roommates did a faster version of Come gowith Me, with few altered words & no 'sax interlude.
