The Miner is a 3 elixir legendary card unlocked in arena 11, Electro Valley, in Clash Royale. The miner is a tank, meaning he is good to place in front of a big push to absorb damage from the princess towers. The miner's trait that makes him legendary is his placement, as he can be placed anywhere in the arena as long as you have enough elixir for him, including the opponent's towers. As he can be placed anywhere, his damage to crown towers is 30% of his damage to other targets. The miner targets troops and has a 1.2 tile range, the same as the Valkyrie. Due to his ability to tank for troops almost instantly, the Miner synergizes well with fast troops that can threaten towers if tanked for, like the Wall Breakers; this is due to the Wall Breakers hit points allowing them to survive the Log, the most popular small spell and the ideal answer to wall breakers. If placed in a certain position, the miner can pull defending troops away from a push and get tower damage on the other tower. If ignored, a Miner will get as much damage on a tower as playing a rocket would do. Good counters to miner are cards that can distract him or shut him down quickly, like the Skeleton Army and Ice Golem. If the opponent is running a swarm card to counter your miner, it is often a good idea to place a poison on top of your miner to force them to alter their defences to something less effective. Due to the Miner's low elixir cost and placement anywhere in the arena, he is a good counter to the princess, as he can absorb damage from her and take her out in 2 swings of his mighty shovel. The miner is a win condition.
