Way to find a "loophole" since right hand speed and dexterity goes hand in hand (har har), which now has been rectified in my profile. Thanks for that. The reasoning for being blunt about this is that this channel is not about educating as I'm the furthest thing from an educationalist and my interest in the subject is not there anymore. Hence, I have no tricks and whatnot examples that I've ever used. I just played and failed and played and failed. Constantly repeating myself is tedious, which

Hey Erlend, how long is your action? Do you get any fret buzz, or would you say it's average? Also, do you use standard gauge strings? Because getting up to that speed with thicker strings I'd think to be impossible! Also, great job man, pure insanity.

@techniqueswithtodd14 жыл бұрын
Very impressive playing. So good in fact that some folks thing it's somehow fake. I think your hands are faster than their eyes. :)
@AttitudeCastle12 жыл бұрын
Basically, to build that stamina and dexterity you simply need to play play play play! It's the only way really. And gigging helps alot as you build lots more on stage when the pressure is on :) All the best!
@Schtorm_BLITZ_UNION12 жыл бұрын
I'm glad to hear that! I read your profile and saw you discard comments concerning your right hand speed... I don't want to ask you about speed, but about your stamina. Are you naturally that strong, have such endowment or you had to work really hard on it? Like excercising or so. I like the way how you use 2 fingers, I prefer sound of 2 fingers over 3 fingers sequence. At least, thanks for reading and keep up that insane shit!

Old thrash bass player here, how do you modern guys keep track of song order with what seems to me a jumbled up mess of scales and modes? It makes no sense to me in the way songs normally flow. This style boggles my mind.
@ErlendCaspersen10 жыл бұрын
It's called repetition and muscle memory. Personally I prefer music that constantly evolves, instead of confining to popular culture arrangements with chorus, verse, bridge etc., which was brought on in the early 1900's after classical music took an arrow to the knee, to hook people in easier making everything more memorable. To examplify, my other project Spawn of Possession build most of the songs around Mozart's concepts for arranging music - Intro, 4-5 different parts that doesn't repeat keeping the same key, middle part consisting of a different key with continuous evolving music, and an ending with maybe one repetition of a previous part going back to the original key, making it feel complete and thought out. What I'm getting at is that while music with arrangements you've been listening to throughout your whole life will obviously sound familiar and safe, going out of your way to listen to something with a completely different setup will take time to understand and appreciate. It's after all tenfolds more information to take in, in a lot of cases. Give it time.
@puregroove51719 жыл бұрын
+Sanitys Void After listening to this style music long enough, your ears get atuned to the fast playing, I will rest assure you its NOT a jumbled up mess of scales and modes.

People worship you due to your unmatched technique in the genre. Sure there's jazz musicians that I'm sure could walk circles around you but understand most people, Americans in particular, and very musically ignorant. Find their own preference to be superior.
