Once again, thank you for covering how this sits in the lap! The placement of those nonslip pads looks like it might work on my legs better than my RAP sticks. I've never tried a noir layout stick, but I love Hayabusa components, so I may have to pick one of these up!

Sticks haven’t gotten any better since then. They’re still using the same bog standard Sanwa parts and the only selling point is compatibility. Where’s the Seimitsus? Korean levers? Nobody actually competes to make a better arcade stick anymore. They just add more stupid button layouts and flashy lights.

I have my eye on this stick, the PS edition for Strive drops in Japan at the end of June, so only a matter of time till a US release. Mad Catz sticks were quite popular during the late PS3/early PS4 era because a bunch of pros were using them, until the company went bankrupt. Ever since, companies like Qanba, Hori and Razer have been filling the void. Although none of them have made something as cool as the good old MC VS Stick.

Looks solid. Ive been using the RAP4 for alot of old games on MAME and its super responsive. I switched out the buttons and changed the gate on the stick. I still dont understand why companies limit these sticks to certain platforms. Some of these sticks dont even support PC. Not sure why no one makes a quality universal stick for all platforms. Maybe its a licensing issue. It reminds me of the pain in the ass of trying to get good surround headphones but being limited to one system for each pair. Im a rare stick user but if this stick had macros or a way to map multiple button inputs into each button it would be tempting. I cant see any reason why Id upgrade to this version over the RAP 4. Maybe if I played alot of fighting games and wanted to play them with a stick on Series X. That seems to be the trick they use. This seems like a downgrade without rapid fire too.
@theconsolekiller71132 жыл бұрын
@@hollowhenry04 Appreciate the feedback. I will definately keep that in mind. I switch between a modded Hori RAP4 and modded mayflashf500 for different types of games (seimitsu joystick mainly for shooters and hayabusa stick for faster moving games, fighting games). I havent noticed the additional lag but I will definately keep that in mind. In order to get my RAP4 to work on Xbox or Switch requires an adapter anyway, so I may still get that extra input lag in the end, on those platforms. I use the RAP4 for alot more than PS4 and PC which is what it natively supports.
@theconsolekiller71132 жыл бұрын
@@hollowhenry04 Nice. Appreciate that. Hopefully. I have an old Hori Rap3 coming in soon, that I plan to mod, so in worst case I can jump between the RAP4 and RAP3 on PS4 and PC without using any adapters. For other platforms I may have to sacrifice some response time. So far the mayflash has felt great to me on Xbox but I havent tested it on the hardest games yet.

Any standard 30mm buttons will fit, but I'd go with snap ins over screw ins. The depth of the case isn't that deep. So if you don't like the Hayabusa buttons a sanwa or seimitsu will work.
