This is such a good iceberg video on KZbin. Not only it covers most of the notable stuff from KZbin, but it also covers its entire history from its beginning in 2005 all the way down to its shutdown. It's such a shame that KZbin shut down in 2012, otherwise we all would use it over VidPlaza, Google Video, and Vimeo. Ok but for real, as someone really into alternate history, this is definitely an interesting format for althist videos. I myself were more interested into a more utopian timelines though despite this timeline being much darker with stuff like the PATRIOT act being passed, I do like the premise of KZbin shutting down and stuff getting out of wack ever since.

Apparently valve, now owned by activision, were forced to close team fortress 2 servers permanently due to them being too expensive to maintain compared the the player base. There was a dedicated, if small movement, #savetf2 who protested this and demanded rights for private servers, but it was not to be, and on December 23rd of 2009, TF2’s servers shut down for good. I'm surprised you didn't mention the bizarre garfield fan channel pizza cat. It was a channel that uploaded live action parodies of garfield comics and the name "pizza cat" was in reference to how garfield's favorite food is pizza (a core part of the comic) it was most active from april to november of 2007 and it stopped uploading for about 9 months before returning with a video that likely less than 10 people saw due to how it was deleted a few minutes after. there are vague descriptions of what this video was but it was something involving a blood-stained bathroom stall. supposedly the few people who did see the video said their computer crashed after the video ended and displayed a bright orange screen which they could only get rid of by restarting their computers.

Very few members from the site had contact with them but a handful were informed what they were about to do. Once word got out about the Piano-chan thumbnails, a thread was made on the forum documenting everything being changed. Some thumbnails were changed to Hulk Hogan and John Madden and then, on one of the most viewed videos on youtube at the time, changed the thumbnail to a link to the YTP forum. The thread immediately went from amazement to panic when hundreds of guests started lurking the thread. As someone who witnessed it all happen live, it was generally innocent and probably won't ever happen again, although this individual had a history making YTPs that had a lot of cropped hentai hidden in their videos so thankfully they didn't take it too far.

I think it would be better if you included more original entries about lost KZbin videos or weird KZbin phenomenon, I get not having a visual aspect to it but that’s okay you don’t need to. I think these alternate videos that Midnight Krick started (he was the first I saw idk if there was another before him) are amazing ways of creating new stories with existing ideas but I think this one needed just some more push away from the familiar to make a good video even better
