Hello, greetings from Costa Rica, nice channel. We will be in Sorrento on October 22 or 23 (Tuesday or Wednesday) exactly, we only have one day to visit Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. We want to ask you if you think it is possible to visit those three places and return to Sorrento on the same day using the bus you mention in the video, considering the number of people and the number of buses available on the day. Considering being in Positano (2 hours), in Amalfi (an hour and a half) and ending in Ravello (an hour and a half) and returning to Sorrento. Will it be possible? Or what could you recommend?

Hi and Welcome to the channel, giving that it is summer and the nights are longer, it is possible, just start early and take note of the timetable of the bus.Time does move quickly and there is a lot of hills and different things to see In Addition, you may wish to stop to see the sights, have lunch take some photos and rest near the beach, so time does not be long going.So I would aim to visit Positano, then Amalfi, as it is the next town and see how your going, for time, then if it is very late best to get back to Sorrento, if you feel you have good time left then Consider Ravello, It is possible depending what you do in these towns.I hope this helps and have no doubt you will have a wonderful trip in this beautiful part of the World 👍

Can you please give more details about the bus from Sorrento. Is it a tour bus that waits for you in every town or how does it work?

Hi yes no worries it is not a tour bus it is a public bus so locals and tourists on board, when you wish to visit the next town there is a timetable so you wait at the bus stop where you were dropped and of you go to the next town.There is tours that operate from Sorrento that will bring you at a higher price rate also you can rent a car of scooter.I hope this helps 👍

Hi there me and my are going to Naples next month how much was the bus and did it get stuck in traffic we're thinking about going to positano I don't know if the bus or ferry is the best option.

Hi and welcome to the channel 🤗 the bus cost €10 for a 24 hour ticket with unlimited travel stops from Sorrento, Positano to Amalfi coast. Well when I was there in February there was no traffic, but you are right the traffic will increase now starting from May-August but as you will see the bus offers amazing views and goes through the small villages and the cliff edge views are amazing.Now the boat is also a good option as it gets to Positano, more swiftly from Sorrento, all been it will cost a bit more then the bus but again you would get costal views and a view of the island of Capri along the way and again you will see some majestical coastline and have more breathing space compared to the bus which can get crowded.So I would take the boat to Positano if going in June, which is a busier month and the heat will increase so a boat trip I am sure would offer more comfort.But this is just my view the choice is yours what ever transport option you take I guarantee you will be in awe of the beautiful coastline.Enjoy the journey and anymore questions just ask I will be glad to help if I can 👍

It looks very quiet bus. I read that there are huge crowds no matter when you go and there is no place where to seat. Is that the early morning bus?

Hi yes the summer session is always busy but your best time to travel on the bus is the first bus in the morning as there will be que also if you are staying in Sorrento The boat to Positano is a option.Do bring plenty of water as the bus does get busy this time of year and I hope you enjoy this magical journey as I can Guarantee that the view from the bus are amazing 🌎

@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise Thank you very much! I think to use hidrofoils and busses to see the beauty of both sides but we will be in Piano di Sorrento. There is a bus stop near our hotel but people recommend that we should take the train and go to Sorrento to take the bus from the first stop.

I hope you don't mind my adding a comment - we were staying just outside Sorrento from April 28th - May 8th 2024 and using the Sita bus was a nightmare. Crowds of people, pushing and shoving and jumping in from the front area of bus to get on. If going from Sorrento - Amalfi then i advise getting the really early bus or the next one which is 7.35am or thereabouts. We had to stand for over an hour which was a nightmare, and that was only to Positano - twisty, windy roads - took all your strength to hang on and stay upright. The second day using the bus we were near the front of queue but when boarding people were already onboard so not a lot of seats left. When leaving Amalfi at any time of the day, its a free for all and the bus driver does not bat an eyelid to queue jumpers. Very, very stressful. We were going to jump off the bus at Positano on the return journey but after seeing the hoards of people queueing all along the side of road, fighting to get onboard - we decided against it. The timetables don't run to plan, the traffic jams from Sorrento to Amalfi etc means that you can be on the bus for 2 hours. If you can afford it then i'd recommend you hire a private driver but avoid taxis in general as the prices are shocking. We hired a speedboat in Amalfi for the next day and had a wonderful time on the water laying off Positano taking photo's and going where we pleased. Just my Husband and i. Very reasonably priced (Amalfi Marine) and this way we avoided the crowds. Although we had the same fiasco catching the bus back to Sorrento. It is indeed a beautiful part of the world but the infrastructure cannot handle the masses who go there. I don't think that i would go back unless by private yacht.
