Yes! I live here and fly here from my off airport residence.

My home away from home. Thank you for showing it in a way that I could never see it. The massive beach expansion is impressive. Keep up the great work!

Thank you! Its a blast doing the flying. The editing takes a while, but is a great rainy day activity.

How do we avoid fatal collisions with these effectively invisible objects? How many more potentially lethal collisions with manned aircraft do youtube publications like this invite?

Well, if the manned aircraft AND unmanned aircraft both follow the FAA’s rules, it would be near impossible to occur. Manned aircraft are required to be 500’ above the surface. Unmanned aircraft (unless doing a Part 107 inspection of a building/object) can not fly over 400’ AGL. So, unless someone is not following the rules, should have over 100’ of separation.

@@WJD-SportAndDrone The first, second, and fourth shot of this video are in the traffic pattern and altitude of 4R9. It is highly unlikely that any manned aircraft operator would be able to see this drone in sufficient time to react in collisions avoidance maneuvers, if by coincidence they were to intersect in time and space, at the same moment and place.
