The one little Easter egg about this video that I love, is that Brando actually completes Castlevania 3 in this video. Back in the day with the old one, the fight was ended at the first Dracula phase. Fun to see how times change.

Its crazy how its really been 12+ years now since the original released. I know the original lyrics perfectly and its so freaking cool hearing all the changes to the pacing, flow, note holds and some of the smaller interrupts. I played the videos side by side and even with the changes to the opening, the wall meat, Sypha's section, alucard's dark metamorphosis and the wolf howls, the video syncs up really well up until the boss rush section of the original. I nearly cried when I heard the extension on Dracula's part lmao

I've been listening to your stuff since I was a kid, man. I really loved the original Castlevania III video you did, but I really really prefer this one. The audio quality is just a lot better, the lyrics are improved with the more tasteless stuff removed, the visuals are absolutely amazing. I have been playing the Alucard bit on repeat cus of how good it is! And my god the "Treeeeeeevor Bellllllmontt" from the Dracula boss music, is just soooo cool and booming, I love it. Idk what these comments are talking about, I think it's bias and or nostalgia but as someone who went to school for mixing etc, this sounds SIGNIFICANTLY better. It's not though. A ton of the delivery is exponentially worse, Sypha is still flat. Even the free DAWs have pretty good autotune plug-ins. It's just bad editing and delivery all around. Something went wrong with the mixing, mastering and delivery on this track. I.E The 1:15-1:25 section on both trakcs. The new has too much reverb and is not leveled out. He's also much flatter and missing more notes on this one. I could go on and on, on why this editing is sloppy. His melody's are fantastic though, gotta give him praise on that. Does Brando make enjoyable music? Yeah, but that doesn't make him a DAW expert.

Man, so today I felt nostalgic and tried watching this and the old version of the song both at the SAME TIME. (: There's just a lot of nice, little less-obvious touch ups in the lyrics that really make this version shine that I never appreciated or noticed. Some of the lines in the older version just didn't make too much sense and felt like they were just there to fill the air; while here things are more framed in the context of Castlevania 3. Original line: "I will kill you all. You will fall. I will kill you. (You are such a MF!)" New line: "I will kill you all. You will fall... down this stair case! (How you like it MF?!)" not only does it have the grievance of the stairs that's been haunting Trevor (and all the players), but that whisper is also really funny. Another thing I noticed is, just the "woo"ing feels more lonely in the original. Adding Grant as a wingman the whole time was a stellar idea. Ya, see they aren't big things but they all add up. Masterpiece. 20/10. ... ... And don't even get me started on the old Alucard, hot tomato he was way too edgy.

I can say this: This is a better written Castlevania story than Castlevania: Nocturne.
